I was repeatly called by First Integral Recovery Services masquerading as a legal office instead of the debt collectiion agency that they are. They called me at work and I informed the lady that I was not allowed to have those calls at work she then called me the next day and when I inquired as to why she got flippant.
I was told that I could be prosecuted for bad check writing and lady on the phone said they had a legal department. They insisted that I set a time to call them back and when I did I asked for validation of the debt and the lady acted as if she didn't want to do it. She then called for her supervisor and then said something about a lawyer.
This company has wrecked havoc on my nerves to the point that I can't sleep at nights thinking of their insistent calls and wondering if they will contact me at work like they've done when asked not to.

Check with your state and local laws but you are likely protected from debt harassment including threatening phone calls, excessive phone calls, etc. If you get a lawyer and take them to court over harassment, they can be slapped with stiff fines and/or jail time and you may even win some money for your trouble.
Those type of people who calls at work, calls during dinner time, calls at 3AM, yells at you, threaten to send police (or worse) to your place, etc are scum.
