First Link Benefits ripoff They call me on Nov. 17 Saying I would recieve a free Gateway computer, Mastercard with a credit line of 2500 free digital camra for 354.90. I then tried to cancel and got hung up on! Champlain New York
A rep. from First Link Benefits named Tony Called me on Nov.17 and told me I was approved for a master card with a credit limit of $2,500 and I would recieve a FREE Gateway computer valued at $1,100 and FREE digital camra. All I would have to pay is $354.90 and it is a one time payment.
So I gave them my account info. Then I was sent to another person who said she (Kaley)had to record everything and conferm everything on tape. It sounded like a real company. They said they do it to help rebuild credit and I would be able to get a credit card from anywhere in one year. They got my bank account number and my drivers licences number. It started to sound funny because they never asked for my social. I told my mother who looked it up on the Ripoff reports and found out it is a fraud.
I called them back on Nov.18 and told the lady I wanted to cancel and she asked why and I told her and she hung up on me. Wrong think to do lady!!! It pissed me off so I called back and talked to a lady named Mary and told her I wanted to cancel. She asked why and I told her why. She said "I am not aware of the reports made against the company".
I told her I wanted a confirmation number and she said "you don't need one you don't have to worry about it. It is cancelled no money is going to be taken out of you account it is noted in my computer". I then told her she could make one more note in her computer that if there is money taken out of my account I WIll be calling the cops and I will file a fraud claim against them with my bank and I WILL get my money back. She told me "you didn't need to get hasty it don't have to go that far."
Well even if they try to take the money they can't!! I will be closing my account A.S.A.P. It is sad that people like those are aloud out on the street I am a mother of 2 babies my husband works so hard for us and you get these greedy M.F.ers who just want to rob the people who can barly make ends meet. I hope they all go to jail!! It is just sick!!
