I called Flatiron to make an advance pmnt for two months (July Aug) and I told them to make the payments on my personal Visa. They took the info and said that was fine and I was set for the next two car pmnts. When the July pmnt was suppose to be made I checked my personal bank account and noticed I was 388$ overdrawn because Flatiron had taken the money from checking account instead of my Visa (which is not a debt card a regular visa having nothing to do with my bank).

I called Flatiron and told them what had happened. The first customer service person I talked with said it was impossible that the money was taken from my checking account because they had no access to my personal banking information and therefore I must have given them my checking account info. I had the man read me back the exact info I had previously given them on where to take the money from and he read me back my personal visa card number. I tried to explain to him that was not my visa dept card it was my regular visa number and he kept telling me I was wrong.

So I ended up talking to Judy who was a supervisor. She read me back the exact numbers to my regular visa and insisted I was wrong. She kept telling me there was no way the money came out of my checking account because they have no access to that info. Finally I convinced her do to a three way phone call with my bank to prove to her the money came out of my checking account and not my Visa.

Once we were on the phone with my bank and they did indeed tell her they money came out of my bank account she then told me that was really no proof the money came from my checking account. I thought this woman must be losing her mind!!!

I then had to go to my bank fax them the information and when I called them later they didn't seem to have gotten the fax because I was not specific enough with the fax number.

Finally almost a week later I re-faxed the information from my bank again which they received this time and they called me back in 30 minutes to tell me they researched what I had given them and would not be refunding the 100$ in bounced check fees because I told them to take the money out of my checking account and not off of my Visa.

I asked to speak to Judy the original supervisor and they told me that Judy was the one who told them not to pay anything because I made the mistake and not them. So basically I am some stupid idiot who can't remember what they hell I told them to do. I am so mad that they can get away with just flat out lying about everything.

Now they want to take my car away because I can't afford to get myself out of a 388$ overdraft and make two car payments when I am not the one who did anything wrong. How can they get away with this!! I suppose they can just say and do what ever the hell they want to and we just have to take it up the butt!!!

Flation Financial Now Peak 5 and nothing has changed even gotten worse!!!

After my above comments the company never changed they continued to rip us off. But things got worse!!! Each month they would hold on to my check for several weeks and turn around and charge us late fees saying I told them a particular date to deposit the funds even though it made my payment ten to 15 days late. This last month we made a payment a few days early and they kept calling about our payment. When I explained to them we already made it they would find that we did in fact make a payment and say oh sorry our fault. This continued for several weeks and finely I told them I was taping the conversation to protect myself. They refused to talk with me as long as I was going to tape the conversation. I said then just tell me why you keep calling me if you know you have my payment? They told me I had $70 in late fees and they would not deposit my car payment money until I sent them their late fee money. I said this is ridiculous, you are holding my car payment hostage for $70 I don't even owe you??? They said yes and we said F...this. My husband and I were so sick of their crap we decided the only way to make them go away was to buy a new vehicle which we kind of wanted anyway. So we went to the dealership and bought a new truck. The financial office was trying to get a pay off quote from Peak 5 and they refused to give her one unless we talked to them. So I went back to the office with the lady and she told me she had never heard of such a thing. I got on the phone with Peak 5 and all the girl wanted to know is when we were going to make our car payment claiming we were 15 days late. I told her that I was trading in that car and I was not making any payments. So the woman on the phone said "So you are refusing to make a payment, is that what you are saying?" I told her once again the same thing and then told her that she needed to just give the woman at the dealership the pay off so we could get on with our deal. I then handed to phone back to the financial person and she asked her again for a payoff and she refused to give her one because I would not make my car payment. She asked to speak to her supervisor and she would not connect her with a supervisor. So the finance lady was so pissed she called the woman a b***h hung up on her and called right back asking for a supervisor. The finance lady finally got a supervisor on the phone and Peak 5 told them our payoff was over $500 more than they had told me just the day before. We have had our new car for 6 days now and Peak 5 keeps calling us everyday several times a day asking for a payment and telling us they are going to give a 30 day late on our credit report if we do not pay them. They told me they would continue to call us until they either got the payoff money or I made my car payment. I told them they had my car payment money by overcharging on the payoff. They guy from Peak 5 then told me he did not consider calling us several times a day as harassment because we still owe them car payment money and late fees. I told him he was insane and I called the Attorney General in Denver and left a message to find out if in fact these harassing phone calls can continue even when we dont have a loan with them anymore.
