We saw the flip advantage advertise on Facebook because the scam workshop was coming to our area. We signed up for the free workshop.  We went and one promise was that if you join you get access to their investers . This was to be the way you finance you flips at 100% plus the cost of renovations.  How can you lose? So like idiots we paid the $1997 they required for you to get in the door.  Then it just so happened to be a deal where you and a guest get in for the $1997 not just one.  Some other guy came in after to sell a in the door scam for another $1500 or $2000 for a cess to houses in your area that have a tax lein against them. That supposedly to get you super cheap houses to flip or so.  Anyway then you have to go to the real weekend workshop in a fancy expensive hotel.   Barry the Bear or something  like that is who does the this part of the scam.  The first break didn't come till after 2.  My husband who used to be a realtor was already seeing all the problems with  what they were saying which wasn't any teaching but just introducing all of his staff one after another that had bought into a scam years like this one but had made lots of money. Yes they were making money, money from people paying $1000 a pop to get in the door to this opportunity.   Anyway I finally saw the light of my wise husband and he had found these scam reports on here too by the end of the first day.  So we decided to go back the next morning and ask for our money back.  We did and it was very quiet and sure of course  .they took our name phone eMail. She did get with us and did send our info to their accounting office.  It took about three weeks total to get our money refunded to our credit card.  Thank God He had mercy on our ignorance and we got the money back.  We heard on the second day they make you sign up for more classes at prices of $10,000 or so a piece.
