When I got my first phone call the first thing the man said to me was that I would be getting "free plane tickets" to ANYWHERE I WANTED. As opposed to "anywhere in Florida," which is what they CLAIM they offered in the first place. I thought I could use this because my family isn't very well-off and I need to make some college visits soon. Long story short, I was very distracted and stupidly gave the guy my account number and routing number since he said I would be receiving a package in the mail and had the ability to cancel the membership whenever I wished. Never had they mentioned two other programs I was signing up for at the same time.

A few weeks later, I checked my bank account online and noticed $149 gone. Sure enough, it was this program, "Florida Passports," that took the money and nicely provided a phone number on the check. I called the number. I noticed that they give the choices, "press 1 if you want to cancel your membership, press 2 if you want to hear our address" pretty quickly, then pause for a little bit (enough to make any impatient person hang up) and finally give the choice to "press pound if you want to talk to a customer service rep."

The woman I spoke to was very nice. I told her I had never received any package in the mail and how was I supposed to cancel the membership before they had billed me? She said she would re-ship the package and suspend my account for thirty days, and I took "suspend" to mean that they would not bill me.

Unfortunately, today I checked my account again and found $59.95 gone. I knew what had happened since I read reports on this site about Florida Passport. So I called the same number AGAIN and this time was put on hold for about 15 minutes. The guy said that the $59.95 wasn't from them, it was from one of the OTHER TWO programs that I had signed up for AT THE FIRST PHONE CALL! He said he would put me on the "Refund Pending Log" and that it would take 5-7 business days to get the $149 back.

The Agents Travel Network guy was rude and mean and said that I would be put on a "Refund Pending Log" in order to receive my refund, in 5-7 business days (sound familiar?).

I have yet to receive any refunds, hopefully it is because it has not been long enough. I've already been to my bank and I don't have anything to do as of now but wait.

Refund they'll probably hang up on you many times. But don't give up!

Good news! I received a full refund check two days ago from Agents Travel Network and today received my refund from Florida Passports. I am expecting a check from Teleflex soon. Here's what you do: NEVER stop calling them. Call every day if time permits, but I'd say call at LEAST twice a week. Ask them for a refund, they'll put you on the refund pending long, and then say you want to make sure you won't be billed again. Each time, say something like: "I would like to check the status of my refund." and "I won't be billed anymore, is that correct?" If you haven't figured out by now, you hear the same "menu options" for each company. And each company plays the menu twice. If you wait longer, you'll finally hear the option "press star if you want to speak to a customer service representative." To make time go faster, dial their phone number, press pound (#), enter your phone number with area code without the 1, and then press star twice. You'll be on hold for at least five minutes and they'll probably hang up on you many times. But don't give up! Don't let them win. And by the way, my bank didn't do anything but then again I didn't specifically ask them for help. You CAN fight this on your own and get your money back. Good luck!
