On Aug 6th I sent a letter to the manager saying I would file a claim in small claims court if I didn't get my check within 10 days, by Aug 18th I got a visit from him at my home with my check, but it was only for $7.00 an hour instead of $8.00, I pointed this out to him that it was for less then then what was agreed, he said he'd mail the rest, but I have yet to see it, Aug 14th Contacted the wage and hour office, got a call back on Aug 28th, left message, but I thought it better to go ahead and mailed them a letter with all the other documents today.

In Texas, we have the Pay Day Law which means the State can go in and FREEZE THE FINANCIAL ASSETS of the company that ripped you off and they can't transact any business until you get paid. You need to contact your Florida State Employment office and report this RIP OFF ASAP! I hope you saved your uniform or something to show them that you actually worked for these bums! ALL PRIVATE SECURITY GUARD CONTRACTORS ARE ALIKE. I think you should also report these people to the board that license private security companies because it sounds like they are only licensed to run a private guard service and NOT detective services at all. It all depends on that their license says. WHEN THERE IS A COMPANY THAT IS POSTED ON THE RIP-OFF REPORT AND FORMER EMPLOYEES SAY THAT THEY RIP-OFF THEIR EMPLOYEES,ETC. AND THEY HAVE PROBLEMS REMEMBERING TO PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES, IT IS THE TRUTH MORE LIKELY THAN NOT... There MIGHT have been a "misunderstanding" but if you were supposed to get paid every two weeks and you didn't, you need to FILE ON THEM WITH THE EMPLOYMENT COMMISSION PEOPLE AND REPORT THEM TO THE FEDERAL WAGES AND HOUR COMMISSION TOO! If you are a woman, you do NOT need to be in private Security guard work anyway because you will put yourself in a DISCRIMINATION HELL! GET a REAL LAW ENFORCEMENT JOB AND LEAVE PRIVATE SECURITY GUARD WORK TO THE ROGUE COPS,COP WANNABES, PEOPLE TOO STUPID TO DO ANYTHING ELSE, AND OTHER SOCIAL MALCONTENTS AND REJECTS... And that is just my opinion of those who ostensibly own and operate these private security guard service contractors... by pimping out the poor, desperate, ignorant and others who need a job and think that they will be treated like human beings in the private security industry...
