We purchased an Audi A6 for my grandson from Florida Quality Motors on March 16, 2013.  When we looked at the vehicle on Friday, the 15th, my grandson test drove it and smelled oil burning.  Jillian Rios said they only sell quality cars and all cars are guaranteed and they would have it checked and repairs if any would be made.

We looked at several more dealerships Saturday morning, but he really liked the Audi.  We called and Jillian said the parts had been ordered and the car was in the shop and would take about 2 1/2 hours to repair.  We called about 11:30 and she said to come in and paperwork would be ready and car should be done.

We withdrew money from bank and drove to Hallandale Beach to find the car was still in the shop.  The price, which was quoted as $7,400.00 out the door leaving $600.00 towards his insurance, was now $8,000.00 which would have been fine if she had just said it was for repair costs.

We waited all day while Jillian gave one excuse after the other saying the car was on it's way and it finally showed up a few minutes before 9:00 pm.  We would have cancelled the sale except my grandson's boss called and wanted him back at work.  It also had been driven about 200 miles.

My grandson drove back to Gainesville and within 350 miles, two of the tires had split, when he pulled the spare out, he discovered it had been blown, they just hid the bad side so it wasn't visible.  The tires looked like they had good tread and had been polished to look new.

Next, his temporary tag expired and the tag agency said only the dealer could renew it.  He called Jillian and was told the tag would be sent over night and he should have it by the next Monday.  When the tag didn't arrive, he called Jillian again and was told she would send it.  On Tuesday, no tag, he called again.  Jillian said he should have it.  Days went by and Jillian kept saying tag had been sent, then wouldn't take his calls.

We checked with the tag agency and a tag had been issued, but the title was showing Floriday Quality Motors (Old Dominion Enterprises) as lien holder.  The car was paid for in full.  Next, Jillian claimed my grandson owed another $20, even though they had already charged $450 for tag and title transfer, and never sent an invoice/bill.

They never even applied for the title until April 16, 2013 and here it is two months after purchase and he has a car he cannot drive without a tag and the rack and pinion went out, but when he signed the papers, she had backtracked and said there was no guarantee on the car.  She offered to put him in touch with one of their repair shops, but of course, he wasn't going to take it to them.  As yet, FQM's has not removed themselves as lienholder or provided the tag.

It seems to me, they have virtually stolen the tag for the Audi My grandson has told them he's retained an attorney, but Jillian insists we can do nothing.  It's a waste of time.   She also says no tag has been issued, but it is showing at the tag agency and we have the tag number.

My grandson filled out a formal complaint that was given him by the state and we requested help from Help Me Howard, but no one has responded.  We will continue to pursue this until he can drive the car.  He has to borrow and rent cars in the meantime to work.

We returned to Florida Quality Motors and Jillian gladly took care of the issues.  She provided paperwork showing an additional $19 and change was due for the tag, provided the tag, (after we paid the additional amount due),  and removed the lien from the title.  She also requested we take down the report we filed, which we are trying to do.  She was very friendly and good natured about the whole issue of miscommunication with my grandson.
