Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

After 9 years of paying Alimony and Child Support at the beginning of 2014 I have had nothing but problems with the Florida State Disbursement Unit.  They have lost (well they say USPS has a problem with their address) 2 payments and processed others but have no record of recieving the payments.

Yes, I have had to issue a stop payment on 2 checks submitted in 2014 already.  It is only the end of Feburary 2014 now.  They blame the USPS service stating they have trouble with their address..  Really?  This address has been the same for over 10 years.  Can you imagine how many checks or postage they recieve daily?  And to think that USPS has not adapted or figured out any problem with FSDU's address.

Most recently they actually recieved my check and it has cleared my account yet my ex has not been paid yet.  FSDU has no record of recieving it.  Stating it is a common problem on my part of not sending in my Case #.  They stated it was "My problem of not correctly writing down the case # on each check....", they pointed me out specifically.  I asked them to give me details on what check and dates of when THEY had to figure out who the payment went to.  Needless to say they could not provide any details.

They requested documentation from me to prove they have processed my check.  I faxed a front and back copy of my cleared check(yes this is 2014 and they can't recieved a PDF via email, fax only.  They like the image quality of the transmission I guess) as well as a letter with both of our names, ssn's, and case number as well as a description of the problem, signed and dated.  I follow'd up 3 days later and they told me it would take 7-10 business days to research what happened to the check.

I called in today to follow up again (5 days later) and they have hung up on me twice.  Each time I have asked for supervisor and they told me my issue was not supervisor worthy and that they would be as far as I could get on the phone today..  SERIOUSLY??   I told them the last time I would call the Goverenor's office and the last lady said "Good Luck, we are a private company not a state company..." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

This is the private company the State of Florida has chose to be a central unit for them?  I told them my ex expects this just like her normal payroll income.  To pay bills and so on.  2 week window for research for a check that actually did go through their hands is not acceptable.  I asked them if their payroll was supposed to hit on the 15th of the month and it didn't and they called their HR department and they told them it will take up to the next payroll date to figure out the problem, they would be HOT.  Then that is when they hung up on me the first time.

Who is in charge of monitoring this departement or process?
