Consumer Alert! Wayne Bender - aka Wayne Fontaine and Fontaine Flooring, LLC First, the company Fontaine Flooring, LLC is not registered with the State of Minnesota. Wayne Fontaine who regularly changes his name takes jobs he gets on craigs list. He bids the jobs low and then runs with your deposit. He has stolen money from homeowners in Plymouth, NE Minneapolis, North Minneapolis and other areas in the Twin Cities. Follow these links to read more about this professional con man.

I found his website person had posted a page with all the info to know I had been defrauded of my money. Find that page at www.fontaineflooring.com/fraud.htm Note that all those reports are in the last few months. He is on a rip off mission.
My story: I gave Wayne Fontaine $500 cash as a deposit to refinish my floors. He said he had lost his id and could not cash a check. He gave a reference of a woman that I was able to call. This was probably someone who is working with him. He took the money, scrapped the edges of the floors and left for lunch. Wayne has never returned. He would call, say he had been in the hospital, that he was at my house and could not get the key code to work on the lock on the door, etc., etc., etc.
Friends story: I had made the mistake of referring him to a friend on the same day because he seemed sincere, she gave him a $350 check deposit. He cashed the check, partially sanded the floor and then said that his equipment was broken. After leaving many messages this gal got a return call that he would be back in one hour. Of course he was a no show and never returned a call again.

The insurance number he gives you is fraudulent.

Upon doing a background check after the fact we found that he had contact with the police for domestic violence.
Beware of this person before you get involved and lose your money.

Posting a picture is fine. Posting a picture that includes a child is imoral and rude. The internet is not designed for slander of others and illegal reposting of pictures that include peoples children.
I will refer this "lady" and the post to the police if this picture is not removed.

The man in the picture is not who you claim he is!!!!!!!!
I have had Fontaine Flooring work on my floors 3 times, and each time he was ontime, clean and did awsome work. Legimate people suffer from identify thefts as well. I've heard many stories of competitors doing things like you state in order to hurty the actual bussiness. You can't be sure of the situation and it dosen't give you the right to slander a person online.
Always check for refferences and ask the right questions. Looking to get work done cheaply comes at a price, you have to be willing to make the mistake and move on!
