Food Lovers Fat Loss Program They say I called at 2am on the first night of a week long silent Buddhist retreat with no phone anywhere! , Internet
Hello. Here's my story. First of all, I have no idea who this company is: I have never ordered anything where the postage and handling costs $19.99 if I return the product. This is not something I would ever have ordered.
The email came thanking me profusely for my order, letting me know it would be arriving in a couple of days!!! Yeah, I was VERY excited to learn this. I immediately shot back an email saying pardon me but I did not order this and I want a complete refund of my money. I didn't receive a reply within 24 hours (did subsequently though)so I called the customer service number.
After five phone calls, five different people, I discovered that first of all, there was the issue of the $20 they believed they would keep, and I was told that there was a recording of me making the phone order, on October 12 at 1:45 am, when, in reality, I had no phone service and had just begun a week-long silent Buddhist retreat...which I can prove much more readily than they can prove ANY of what they are telling me.!
So. There's this recording AND yes indeed, my conversation today was being recorded...I had to ask five times in a row "are you recording this conversation?" before the answer was yes. So I asked to hear the recording of the phone order. Well they can't do that. Why, I asked? Um, because , um, the administrator, yeah, that's it, the administrator would have to "review" the phone messages, the order call and the one that was recorded today, and then THE ADMINISTRATOR would SEND ME AN EMAIL confirming that yes indeed, it was me!!! I couldn't stop laughing. I mean really, how stupid can people be?
I left the woman with saying there would definitely be legal action (well, after you guys tell me what you can do to help!) so that they cannot continue to do this to other people. It is so insane I almost can't believe it.
They had all of my information: phone number,address, email, Discover card information.....the Discover account was cancelled and closed yesterday, Discover knows I'm not someone who would call this in if it wasn't true, they have put it into the fraud category and they will investigate from their end too: payment has been stopped and any money taken yet, $19.99, as far as I know, will be refunded to me by Discover. But these fat loss bozos will not keep any money. I'd be fascinated to know how this worked: did someone sell them my information, or get it unscrupulously somehow, and they split every $20 they steal from people? I truly believe there are more interesting things to pursue on this planet. Seriously.
