Back in the early part of 2004 I received some emails about Foreclose World. After visiting the website and doing a little research on the program I decided to go aheand and purchase the program on their 30-day FREE trial. I would not be billed until 1 month had passed and I could send it back at any time no questions asked.

I used my debit card (I don't have an *actual* credit card) to secure the package. Unfortunately they froze the funds ($200) and I was unable to use that money! So immediately (withing 3 days of originally signing up) I emailed customer service requesting to cancel my order. I'm copying the text from the emails I sent and received with the contact I dealt with regarding a refund.

The final outcome was I got the refund on my debit card (yes they did end up actually charging me), and the product to this day is sitting in my bedroom .. still waiting to be opened.

I guess I got lucky in the fact that I did 'catch' them in a lie and was bold enough to threaten the correct legal action if I was not fully compensated. Goes to show that if you firmly stand up for your rights you stand a much greater change of getting what is right.

[copied emails - sorted first to last]

Subject: cancellation of account

I recently 'tried' the program off the website. I need now to cancel the order immediately.

My reason -- for one the web site stated materials would be shipped to use. Nothing is here...

Secondly - my credit card has an charge of $197.00 "on hold" that was NOT authorized.

My name Jeremy, CC number ending in **** was used for this. I do expect a reply to this email as to any further action I need to take - and when I can expect to see the $197.00 unfroze.

Thank You,

Jeremy

HI:

First -

The reason your order appeared as a charge (even though you have not been charged) is that you used a bank debit card not a credit card as we requested.

Second -

Your order will be cancelled when you have returned our products. Please mail them to:

NO confusion needed !

You ordered on 3/6/04 (Saturday). Your order was sent on the next business day 3/8/04 (Monday) by FedEx.

Allowing 5-10 buiness days through FedEx, you can either return it or just refuse the package when FedEx brings it to you. When we receive it back, your order will be cancelled.

How convenient!

Today my wife and I went out on our front porch and lo and behold this package you referred to was sitting in the corner. Now - your message says it was sent on the 8th of March. Today is the 9th of April. 1 month delivery time? That is pretty slow ... I thought the USPS was supposed to be bad. Now - had a Fedex driver actually delivered it instead of just throwing it in the corner of the porch I would have refused delivery thus having it sent automatically back to your business.

I guess my next step now is to have it sent back. I will attempt to contact Fedex customer service to see about arranging the package to be picked up - and see what fees I might incur after not signing for it.

Hopefully this can be resolved quickly.

Thank You,

Jeremy

Subject: REFUND

I would like to thank your company for a quick response to my previous email listed below.

All the way back to March 11th I requested that my order be cancelled. The response I recieved from that request was that the order had already been sent out and I should refuse the package upon delivery.

On April 9th I sent the most recent email. My wife and I 'stumbled' across a package on our front porch. Noone had even bothered to knock and get a signature. This email I received no response to.

This past week there is a charge of $197 for your company on my CC. The box is unopened (bottom tape is split from delivery damage) and I have made no attempt to use the materials your company provides.

Today I visited the Fedex website to view the details of the delivery of this package. I have sent the tracking sheet to this email address as well so you should expect to see a copy of it also.

Interestingly, I find that the package was not picked up from your shipping location until March 18th. Why then when I requested that this transaction be cancelled I was told by Jon Walker that it was too late and the package had already been shipped. This has been proven to be a lie.

The cost for Fedex to deliver this package back to your location is approx. just over $4. I expect a reply by tomorrow morning, detailing how a refund of the $197 plus my expenses of approx $4 will be credited to my CC by tomorrow at 5pm.

My request is not unreasonable, and I will not accept anything less than a full refund of all monies I have spent in dealing with this package. If, by Friday afternoon I do not see a credit of approx $201 on my CC I will be contacting my states Attorney General to explore the options that are available to myself.

Thank You for your hasty reply,

Jeremy

Good Morning:

Interesting how you say the package was delivered damaged yet you can say I lied.

Today, May 1, 2004 is Saturday. Our offices and credit card companies are closed. I have alerted our processing department on May 3, 2004 (Monday) of your refund request when our offices re-open.

Have a good day !!!

Today is Tuesday, current time is 11:46am. I see no indication a refund has been issued to my CC.

Once I receive the refund the package will be sent and I will provide you with a tracking number.
