Fort Collins Collision Repair Kicked wife out of shop and left her stranded 15 mi from home Fort Collins, Colorado
I took our van to this company to be repaired, it had a minor dent from a fender bender. I figured it would take 2 to 3 weeks to be repaired. When I dropped off the vehicle, we discussed price, it was clear that my deductible was $1000, that was what I would pay. Insurance would pay the rest. A month later, the vehicle was still not repaired. The owner blamed the insurance company, and the insurance company blamed the owner. The insurance company (Progressive) provided details of times/dates that they held up their end of things, Nick at Fort Collins Collision just blamed Progressive.
When my wife called, Nick was rude to her on the phone. We didn't know whether to blame Progressive or Nick for the delay; Nick's rudeness was completely un-called for. After a month of frustration, the insurance company called and said the the van should be done by Friday. My wife called Nick, he was rude and told her "Monday". It's one thing if the car is going to take a few extra days; that happens. But it's clear to us that Nick was just "teaching us a lesson" of some sort, letting us know that he had the upper hand in the deal, since he had our van.
Nick agreed to meet my wife as his shop on Sat morning, so she could pick up the van. This was outside of normal business hours. Nick tried to charge my wife an extra $350. My wife refused. Nick kicked my wife out of the office and drove away, leaving my wife stranded 15 miles from home.
Business transactions don't always go smoothly, no doubt there. But it was absolutely un-acceptable for Nick to leave my wife stranded like that, holding our car for ransom.
This report is a warning to other consumers, do not do business with Nick or Fort Collins Collision!!!
