FORTIS COLLEGE-CENTERVILLE RIP OFF, DOESNT TEACH YOU MATERIAL YOU ARE TESTED ON CENTERVILLE Ohio
Fortis College- Centerville Ohio- Forces their ADN nursing students to take a dosage calulation test during their Medical/ Surgical class without providing them with ANY teaching on dosage calculation. This test is 20% of the students grade and the student must pass this test in order to complete the medical surgical class successfully. Fortis College does not provide a dosage calculation class or any instruction to help the students prior to taking this test. The instructors repeatedly tell the students they dont know how to teach dosage calculation and if they want to learn how do dosage calcuation go to you tube or google it.
This problem was brought to the Dean of the Nursing program and the President of the college both individuals provided no guidance for the students to be successful. The President (R.Mallow) stated the test is part of the curriculuim and there is nothing he can do. He did provide the students with a math tutor to help, but the tutur did not know or understand dosage calculations.
The Dean of the nursing program acts like she wants to help but doesnt have a clue how. She knows there is a problem in with dosage calculation test but tries to ignore it.
30 students yook the dosage calcualtin test 26 FAILED, the students brought their concerns to the DEAN prior to taking the test but they were told just take and see how you do. After 26 students failed the test, the DEAN and the President both tried to ignore the problem.
There are several students who failed the medical surgical class due to this test and have to send 3,000 to retake the class, and not be taught dosage calcualtion again.
