I carefully navigated the signup process and declined all attempts to get me to sign up for a 'for fee' service. I never authorized use of my credit card, yet the charges came anyway (12.95/ month.)
I thought I had successfully signed up for one credit report, without any recurring services. I went back to the website and tried to get more reports and more information of any kind. Each service was accompanied with a fee, or was labeled 'free for triple advantage members.' So it looks like I cannot get any valuable information from the site without ordering it. This further convinced me that I was not part of any 'for fee' monthly program.
I have seen reports from people that said 'I didn't read the fine print carefully enough' and other people say 'You are an idiot - it was obvious.'
I did read the fine print. closely. I suspect that this website frequently changes the signup process.
My next step is to call them, and my credit card company, and get the $$ refunded.
