Freedom Resorces consumer rip-off fraud Woodstock Georgia
Freedom resources contacted me on the phone and said that I had applyed for a card from them. I have applyed for some cards so I did't know if I had or not.
They had me to listen to a taped message about building my credit. It said that a one time fee would be charged for their services and that I had a 0% interest card for ever. It said that I could rebuild my credit by depositing money in my accountwidth them. I was real busy and I thought it was legitamate.
I gave them my checking account # and told them I wouldn't have any money in the account until Febuary. They recorded me saying that They could widthdraw money out of my account on Febuary 6th.
After I hung up I smelled a rat and I worried about it all night. The next day I looked it up on the internet and found this site.
I realize I have been scammed because the testimonies of the othere people that have been scammed have the same story and the phone # is the same as mine. Some of the ones that I read were scammed on the same date that I was.
My scam date was Jan. 11, 2003. I am going to try to get ahead of them and prevent them from getting their money from my account. I have learned a lesson from this.
I hope this may help to warn other people to stay away from scams.

Hello fellow Freedom Resource Nightmare Classmate. I'm searching the various reports to get to all of the Alabama ones. I've been through the same nightmare as you. I FINALLY got some help from the State of Alabama Office of the Attorney General by way of Rhonda Lee Barber. She is a Consumer Specialist with Attorney General Bill Pryor's office. I have no clue what she and her office did, but I have received a check with my refund of $221.95 today (02-06-03). She also sent me a copy of a letter from Freedom Resource requesting the information from them. Like I stated, I don't know what all she and her office may have done to get me my money back, but it worked. Her office number is 334-242-7320. Please post your results below..
