Leanne Bloms contacted me via Elance, a popular online employment agency. She hired me to write 92 articles for her, for a specified rate. She initially agreed to pay using Elance`s autopay system. So, over the next week, I began to work closely with Leanne, who would send me topics via email; I would simply complete the articles and send them back to her. After a week or so, I waited for the first autopay payment to process; I kept working for Leanne during the processing period. Eventually, the autopay system failed, as Leanne`s payment did not go through. However, this was not Elance`s fault; Leanne was simply determined not to pay, and didn`t supply the funds or information that were needed.

Leanne told me tons of lies over this period, conning me and stringing me along as we worked together. Eventually, over the Easter weekend, it became obvious her only intention was to steal my work and not pay me for it. She kept lying about why the payments failed, and a simple Google search on my part revealed that she had been selling my articles to EHow and passing them off as her own work. Since EHow doesn`t allow subcontracting from their writers, she was breaking their rules as well as scamming me.

Long story short - I ended up being paid for ten of the articles I wrote (after telling Leanne I would contact EHow if she didn`t pay) - however, she kept making silly excuses as to why she couldn`t pay the outstanding balance of 400 and some dollars. I told EHow about the situation and they banned her from contributing to their website - I also had the stolen articles removed from EHow by filing a DCMA Takedown notice for my 92 articles.

Don`t work for her; don`t work with her. Avoid her like the plague. I found out after the fact that Leanne Bloms is a known Internet scammer, who ripped off the ladies at the Cricut message boards for 1000`s of craft projects. She burned all of us, she`ll burn you, too. And any work she passes in for pay was probably written by someone she`s about to rip off, or just ripped off. Beware of freelance writer Leanne Bloms. She`s a disgrace.
