I purchased an Ashley Furniture Sofa & Love Seat.  I spent over $2000 for this set.  The owner Robert was more than willing to sell me the items but when a problem came up, he was no where to be found and wouldn't return any calls.  The financed my furniture for me through some scam company with "90 days same as cash"..BEWARE!  if you use this company.  The intrest is 95%!  After I had the furniture for 1 month several seams ripped.  The stiching came loose.  I live by myself and have no kids jumping on this.  I was just bad stiching.  I called several times and no one could do anything for me except the owner...Robert.  He never returned my call in 3 months.  I contacted Ashley Furniture and they were less than helpful as well.  They told me the store was responsible.  The furniture has an Ashley Furniture Warranty which turns out to be worthless unless you buy from them.  This is an aweful place to buy furniture if anything goes wrong.

This "anonymous" person is not even close to being truthful.

1. All furniture is brand new, direct from the largest manufacturers, with complete manufacturers’ warranties on every single item. The customers' statement is a flat out lie and defamation. Just because a transaction does not go your way does not mean you were deceived or received bad service.

2. All paying customers get their furniture every single time, no exceptions. Customers can get all in stock items the same day.

3. Special orders are placed the day a customer pays for their furniture or signs their finance documents, no exceptions. If a manufacturer is out of stock of a particular item, no store anywhere can control that. Sometimes a manufacturer will show an item in stock and then not have it available because of their own inventory being off. This happened with many manufacturers after hurricane Irma. Again, we do not control their systems that show inventory in stock. You'll notice this person did not have any money out of pocket for a special order and thus lost nothing, period. We are the only furniture store in all of Tampa Bay that allows a customer to order anything they want from over a dozen manufacturers with over 80,000 brand new items, finance it with no money down, and still give an incredibly low price.

4. Either we knew upfront the item was out of stock and were waiting for it to arrive in the manufacturers’ distribution center and they were notified as soon as we knew the item was not available as originally shown in their system, or we received notification from the manufacturer after they ordered and then notified the customer. Most customers either choose something different, cancel the special order altogether, or choose to wait for the item. It is entirely up to the customer. Refunds are processed the same day if one is due. If we cannot get an item, no other company can get it any faster. All stores order from the same place for any particular manufacturer.

5. There is no manager and thus, no one was rude. The buck stops with me, the owner. We have literally thousands of customers and get a ton of repeat business and referrals every single week that we would not get by being rude or not responding to customers. I do not cater to everyone's feelings or bow down to customer demands. It is a common sense business and I like dealing with people that display the same common sense in making purchases. Look at reviews from any store and you will find someone didn't like something or someone at that company many times. We do our best to serve customers and occasionally things don't go as smoothly as we'd all like, whether it's delays from manufacturers, calls not being returned promptly, etc. Every store has human interaction and every single person, customer or employee, will miss things from time to time. When that happens on our end, we will apologize. If that happened to this customer, we certainly would have apologized. We have nothing to gain by not getting the customer what they ordered, especially when you consider they put no money out of pocket and we are the ones paying for the merchandise upfront.

 We have been in business for nearly 4 years in the same location and take care of each customer the best we can. We save our customers a lot of money over the big box stores on the exact same items and treat customers with the same respect they give us.

Whether that was an ex-employee or not, I have to add my two cents.  I've received terrible service from this store.  Robert, the owner is very slow at returning communications, by the time he returns emails and calls, the furniture you ordered is out of stock.  I've been going back and forth with him for a month, and I still have no furniture.  Don't waste your time here, go to a reputable store, and just purchase your items outright.  The service is terrible, the manager is somewhat rude, and I don't doubt the furniture is awful (with no warranty), the way this company is run.  The guy up top said he waited 3 months to get a call - based on my experience I totally believe it.  Buyer beware, stay away from this company.

This report appears to have been filed by a disgruntled ex-partner who was forced out of the business. Please disregard.

Funiture Center is in strong standing with all customers and vendors and strives to take care of all issues as they arise. Our manufacturers all take care of of valid customer issues and we service those issues as promptly as possible when the manufacturer has the items or parts in stock.

Additionally, the finance companies are all independent 3rd parties companies and they are the 3 largest furniture finance companies in the business.
