To whom it may concern, my husband experienced almost the exact same thing with Gateway. We finally took our issue to our local news, and they were able to get us results FAST. They got in contact with the corporate office (who had 'no idea'), and they replaced his computer, free of charge, and they launched a full investigation into the techs who should have handled it in the first place.
