Gateway Laptop purchased less than 3 years ago. Bought several 3-year warranties for the laptop. Including onsite service, tech support, factory labor, part replacement, "total protection" and accidental damage TPP. The touchpad has finally stopped working, the plugin at the back only works some of the time, the RWCD does not work and the battery is dead.
Called Gateway and they will not talk to you because they do not support the serial number that I have (any more). They sold the support features to MPC. MPC will not talk to me about it and insists that I email
[email protected] for support. The lady did mention that MPC has filed chapter 11.
I would advise anyone wanting to buy a Gateway to be advised that they may be wasting their money on any and all warranties. Does anyone know where we go from here? I am going to contact my attorney general in South Carolina and see if legal action may be started to disallow Gateway and MPC to do business in the state.
