Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Not much to say except that I'm done banking at this place! I logged into my business account and I see these ludicrous charges and money gone from my account in these fees.  I call the credit union a few weeks ago and the rep said they are getting lots of complaints and they agree it's not right but those are the fees now for businesses. She said they tell the managers about the complaints on the business accounts but they don't listen to them.

Wow, seems like a nice place to work, not!  I'm going back to First Light FCU. Like another person send, this credit union seems to becoming greedy.  The teeler told me and my wife that GECU is the big shot in town so they feel they can do this. The teller agreed it was too high and she said they are getting lots of unhappy members who are just leaving this place now.

Well hey, you got another one. I just bought a car through Shamaley which I was to go in and sign for yesterday. When the finance person told me it was through GECU, I left. I'm now waiting for them to call me once it's approved elsewhere. I have great credit and there are plenty of other banks in El Paso. Like the others, I will tell everyone I can about the high fees without any notice (they told me they sent a letter too, yeah right!).

Not notifying members and doing this to them is a scam!

You have lost my business and everyone my husband and I can spread the word to.

Inform people when you decide that you're going to pry into their accounts and take their hard earned money. I can see that my husband and I are not the only ones who didn't get your letter.

If they don't get your letter, don't assume they're liars like you did to us!

My husband sorts through our mail daily and nothing. What a scam they're doing by not telling people. Oh and I got the same response, no money back. Keep the money, members will get upset and spread the word to warn others.

Like someone else said, PURE GREED!!!

To the person that said "Wow", you obviously don't behave a business account at GECU. They have become the worst for businesses in El Paso now. That's my opinion and the opinion of many fellow business owners who are dumping their relationship with GECU! You said that the original poster didn't explain the fees, THAT'S BECAUSE WE DON'T UNDERSTANDVWHAT THEY ARE EITHER! When I saw these on my account I got my sister to call because she deals with the banking more than me. The lady didn't explain the fees where we could understand either. The conclusion from the lady on the phone was not to use the account so much and the fees won't be so high then. She also said to try not to use our debit card either unless its a really important purchase, the debit card when used a lot will make more fees and charges on our account every month for using it too much. I came on the phone and said explain to us why we have these fees and charges. The lady said its new and to try to not use the account so much. That was the explanation to us. We closed our account and will never do business with GECU again as long as there's any other bank.. We were given the same story that a letter was sent out to warn the members first about this and we didn't get the letter from them like the other complaints. We requested a credit of the charges back and they told us they can't. What's a ripoff if we don't know first. We still don't understand what these fees and charges were for but they got us. We are warning other people we know about GECU. If you need a business account this is a problem place of from out experience.

Great Detail in this report.  You go through the entire report and not once do you ever mention what this mysterious fee is.

FYI..it is very doubtful you got an actual letter for this fee.  Most likely if they are like every other bank/credit union they send you an entire new copy of the terms in your monthly statement.  If you get e-statements then when you read those there is probably a link and/or separate e-mail stating the new terms.
