Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I called GOS to help with the wireless scanning function of my HP850A  All-in-One printer.  It worked fine as a printer and as a copier but I could not get the scanning function to work.  The tech that came out was in jeans and a polo with no identification as a GOS employee.  Had I not had someone in the home with meI owuld have hesitated to let him in.

I explained to him what I needed, provided him with the manual and the disk and left him alone.  He did not appear confident in what he was doing and I noticed that he had pulled up "Ted's Tech" about installing a wireless scanner.  He did, in fact, get the scanning function working and I know that the unit still works as a copier but I did not even think to check to see that it would still print.  When you hire a professonal, you don't expect to have to double check that they didn't break anything.

As I do not print at home that often it was 3 weeks before I noticed the inability to print and called GOS.  The first lady that answered my call, Rose, was professional and of absolutely no use.  She said that she could send someone back out at $99/ hour to resolve the issue that they caused.  As this was not only not accecptable, but absolutely ludicrous I refused and asked for a Manager.  She refused to let me speak to a Manager and said that someone would call me back in 24 hours.

I did receive a call back from Jessica V. who again refused to provide service to resolve the issue that they cause without me giving a credit card for the appointment.  When I asked for her supervisor's name she refused to give it and told me that this has gone as far as it will go and that they are under no obligation.

Upon searching the internet I found it odd that all news articles reference "the owner" or "the CEO", never a name.  A little disconcerting because all the business owners I know scream from the rooftops that they own a business.

I finally found the name George Otte and I will be writing to him. The BBB in both Florida and Maryland. And anyone else that will listen.  Because I don't think that it is my responsibility to make sure all the functions of my computer that worked before they came out still worked after he was done.
