I was told that I had a claim on my record that was affecting my increased rate. I had left my car in a parking lot and had my back windshield smashed. I had heard that car insurance companies replace windshield, well - dumbass me, not rear windshield. After I was told that a $500 deductible would be necessary, I told em- never mind. Why should I be penalized for making a phone call. I replaced the window myself, of course after 2 hurricanes blew by soaking my car- God knows I was not gonna call them asking about water damage to my car. GEICO has given me different answers every time I call them and they neglect to follow up on anything. They really don't like it when you are a long time customer and get an online quote with them for about $250 less a month with the same info (only tickets) entered. They tried to raise my rate when I moved another $200 when I had already checked that the rates should be lower. Wow- I can't believe they get away with what they do- freakin criminals. Just glad I finally moved on. But I still get pissed every time I see a GEICO commercial, that I practically paid for with my elevated long time customer rates, so they can give better quotes to new VICTIMS.
