Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I BOUGHT A 2004 CHEVY MALIBU CLASSIC WITH 15K MILES ON IT IN MAY 2009

WHEN I BOUGHT IT I DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS:

BOTH CALIPERS WERE STICKING CAUSING THE BRAKE PADS TO BE REPLACED ONCE A MONTH.

THE ROTORS ARE TOO THIN TO BE CUT!!!

THERE IS A WATER LEAK INSIDE THE TRUNK ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRUNK WHENEVER IT RAINS OR THE CAR IS WASHED.

THERE IS A BELL RINGING NOISE FROM THE IGNITION WHEN THE KEY IS NOT IN THE IGNITION.

THERE IS AN EXHAUST LEAK, OIL LEAK AND OR SULFUR SMELL FROM THE A/C VENTS WHEN THE CIRCULATE BUTTON IS PUSHED.

AT APPROXIMATELY 25000 MILES I DISCOVERED THAT THE TRANNY PAN GASKET WAS LEAKING AND THAT THE RIGHT FRONT DRIVE AXLE SEAL WAS ALSO LEAKING TRANNY FLUID.

TRANNY HAS A GROWLING NOISE PR GROANING NOISE BEFORE ITS WARMED UP. AT HGIHWAY SPEEDS BETWEEN 30-40 MPH AND 40-50 MPH THERE IS A MINOR VIBRATION NOISE.

I WAS TOLD BY AAMCO AND 2 OTHER SHOPS THAT I MAY NEED A TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT EVEN IF THE AXLE SEALS ARE REPLACED BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE PROBLEMS INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION THAT ARE CAUSING THE TRANNY TO LEAK OUT OF THE AXLE SEAL ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

THE CAR IS A 4 CYL CAR AND GETS 10 MPG. (VERY POOR GAS MILEAGE)

ALL THE ABOVE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO GENERAL MOTORS AND THEY REFUSED TO REPAIR THESE ITEMS EVEN THOUGH THEY RECEIVED TAX PAYER BAILOUT MONEY AND EVEN THOUGH THEY AGREED AS PART OF THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE BAILOUT MONEY TO STAND BEHIND THE GARBAGE THAT THEY ARE MANUFACTURING!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS ABSURD CONSIDERING THAT THIS CAR HAS ONLY 25K MILES ON IT!!!!!!

IT'S TIME TO SEND A VERY STRONG MESSAGE TO GNERAL MOTORS!!!!!!!!

HEY GENERAL MOTORS, STOP LYING TO AMERICA ABOUT HOW GOOD YOUR CARS ARE!!! BECAUSE THEY ARE NO DIFFERENT!!!!!! THEY ARE THE SAME LEMONS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURING FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!

BECAUSE NOTHING HAS REALLY CHANGED AT GM!!!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM GENERAL MOTORS!!!!!!!! BOYCOTT GENERAL MOTORS!!!!!!!

MAYBE THEN WHEN THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS ENTIRELY THEN AND ONLY THEN THEY WILL FINALLY GET THE MESSAGE THAT THE AMERICAN PUBLIC WILL NOT STAND FOR ANYMORE NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be more realistic in your expectations.

This kind of post is indicative of the fact that people are obviously not educating themselves on the issues surrounding the purchase of a used vehicle, as well as having largely unrealistic expectations. When you are purchasing a used vehicle, there is either a warranty or not, it's that simple. Most warranties aren't worth much, they have too many exclusions, and you are highly dependent on the good will of the issuer.

It would help your case if you didn't type in all caps and talk like a crazy person.

Buying a car that is a number of years old with very low miles is not necessarily a good idea, especially "government" vehicles that may have sat unused for very long periods of time, or been used for many very short trips. The amount of miles on a vehicle is not indicative of how "used" it really is. I have seen any number of low mileage vehicles that are basically "shot".

The problems you describe are not serious, and are easily fixed. I'm not sure how you think the car is a lemon, or why GM is obligated to fix these things.

I have owned many GM vehicles, and while they have all had their problems, at no time did I expect GM to fix them for me. My current Chevy has 260,000 miles on it, is 13 years old, and is running pretty well.

Stating that you think GM should go out of business only shows how irrational you really are. Apparently because you are not satisfied with your car, hundreds of thousands of people should lose their jobs?

GM HAS A CONTRACT WITH THE US GOVT, GENERAL SERVICES ADMINSTRATION TO MANUFACTURE AN SELL THESE LEMOINS TO THE US GOVT, GM GOT TAX PAYER MONYE TO BUILD THESE LEMONS, NOT ONLY DID THEY RIP OFF THE US,

I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM THE US GOVT (GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION) AT THEIR FLEET SALES IN NEWBURGH. THIS WAS A GOV'T FLEET VEHICLE WITH 15,000 MILES

GENERAL MOTORS RIPPED ME OFF AS A CONSUMER AND AS A TAX PAYER!!!!!!!!

THEY GOT TAX PAYER MONEY TO BUILD THESE CARS WHICH THEY KNEW HAD ALL THESE PROBLEMS YET THEY REFUSE TO STAND BEHIND THEM AND MAKE THE REPAIRS AT THEIR EXPENSE

NOT ONLY DID THEY RIP ME OFF AS A CONSUMER THEY RIPPED ME OFF AND YOU OFF AS A TAX PAYER. ONCE WHEN THEY SOLD THE US GOVT THESE CARS, TWICE MORE WHEN THEY GOT TAX PAYER BAILOUT MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AS PART OF THE BAILOUT AGREEMENT WITH THE US CONGRESS GM AGREED TO STAND BEHIND TGHE JKUNK THEY MANUFACTURED. YET THEY REFUSE TO COVER MY REPAIRS UNDER SPECIAL POLICY.

ACCORDING TO PHIL EDMONSTONM IN HIS BOOK AND ON HIUS WEB SITE HE DISCUSSES WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE WARRANTEE OF DURABILITY ACT WHICH OBLIGATGES GENERAL MOTORS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE REGARDLESS OF THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE AND REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTEE. GM SHOULD BE COMPELLED TO REPAIR THIS CAR UNDER SPECIAL POLICY DUE TO THE LOW MILEAGE IT HAS COMBINED WITH THE FACT THAT IT DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE THRESHOLD OF BENCHMARK MILES THAT IS STATED BY GM ITSELF OF 160,000 KM AS BEING THE BENCHM,ARK OF DURABILITY. THIS CAR HAS 27,000 MILES ON IT.

ANYBODY WHO READS THIS SHOULD BE OUTRAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GM RECENTLY TOLD ME I SHOULD PAY THEIR DEALER $100 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR WITH NO GUARANTEE IN WRITING THAT THEY WOULD COVER ANY OF THE REPAIRS OR OFFER ANY COST ASSISTANCE. WHY WOULD ANYBODY WITH A BRAIN IN THEIR HEAD AGREE TO DO THAT WITH NO GUARANTEES IN WRITING THAT THEY WOULD COVER THE REPAIRS AT THEIR EXPENSE!!!!!

THEN THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT COVER ANY OF THE REPAIRS ANYWAY  REGARDLESS AND THEY ACTED LIKE THEY DID NOT EVEN CARE WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD POST A VIDEO ON UTUBE BAD MOUTHING THEM.

RECENTLY I CONTACTED MY CONGRESSMAN STEVE ISRAEL AND SUPPOSEDLY THEY ARE INVESTIGATING MY COMPLAINT. YET TO DATE GM HAS DONE NOTHING TO HELP ME.

GM ALSO REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE LONG ISLAND ZONE MANAGER.

YOU bought a 5 year old used car - I bet you did not even have a mechanic check it out and it was an As Is car - Your fault

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra with 115,000 miles and I had it checked out before I bought it 8 years ago -

Ah the old saying comes to mind Caveat Emptor - Buyer beware!!

Karl google this - Jobs in the greater Colorado area - get one!

It's a five year old used car. You didn't say so, but when you contacted GM, did they inform you that your car was out of the warranty period? If so, why would you expect them to fix anything? They agreed to stand behind their warranties as part of the bailout.

It sounds like you went out and bought an abused piece of junk and didn't bother getting it checked out first. Big mistake.
