They saying, they are specializing in expensive cars repair.

Well, I had a leakage of Transmission liquid or oil in my Mersedes. They hold it 3 days, charged me about $2800 for 15 hours of "labor", and leak is still there. When I pointed it to them, they said, that it's normal for Mersedes 1986.

I have it fixed today by another mechanic. It's NOT normal for Mersedes - now I know that for sure.

Don't waste your money and health with wrong people.

You brought it in for a leak, you had a leak repaired, it still leaks. There are many places you can have a leak that will appear to be comming from the same area. It doesn't mean it is the same leak. Chances are the mechanic told you what leaks he found and how much to fix them. If you were overcharged or not is a whole different matter. Now you still have a leak. Again, it could be a different leak. You didn't pay 2800 to have your car not leak anymore. You paid 2800 to fix THOSE leaks that were found. But I wouldn't give you a discount either- if I fixed the leaks I promised and it is not leaking from the same spot anymore. So unless you KNOW for a fact that the second mechanic had to re-do the EXACT repairs made by the first, you can't blame your leaking car on the shop. We had a customer that harrassed us for 3 weeks about an oil leak. Our invoice clearly stated what work we did and what we didn't do. It stated that the car is still leaking, and from what areas, and what it would cost to fix the OTHER leaks. The customer declined our service. The customer would not listen to us and demanded we refund money for what they believed we didn't fix. We showed them many times that it was indeed another leak and they just couldn't grasp that concept! So I told them to take it to another shop to verify what we were saying. They took it to a shop of thier choice and guess what- It was an entirely different leak than what we had repaired (BTW the areas that we made the repairs to were NOT leaking anymore either,as verified by the shop) and it was leaking from EXACTLY where we told them, and the recommended repairs were done. As to mercedes leaking normally I don't know, never heard of that. So again, chances are the second mechanic fixed the additional leak or leaks, not the same leak you had fixed at the first shop. It is too bad that your car had so many leaks.

I broght my mercedes in for leak problem. Next day they called me that all done, everything is fixed. I came to pick up my car the following morning, and noticed leak at the same spot, where I had it before (when my car was in garage). I pointed that to mechanick - he said, he will check again. He said, that he replaced few parts, and submitted a bill. I asked to fix the leak, since it's still there, at the same place. Next day he said that everything is done, and that leak is normal for Mercedes. However, he still charged me $2800 all together. The point is that I broght car in with the leak - I took car back with the same leak and $2,800 less in my pocket. Another mechanic charged me less, and really fixed a problem. He was laughing when I told him that Gerhard mechanic said that leak is "normal" for Mercedes. And they didn't give me any discount, justifying that that mechanic spent hours and labor on my car.

Anyhow did you get the leak fixed? Take a look at your first bill and see what it says. Where did they find the leak to be comming from? What did they think the problem was? How did they fix it? Did they say anything about remaining leaks? If you paid the second guy to fix the SAME LEAK then you should be able to get some money back. However if he just fixed an "Oil Leak" then you have no way of knowing that it is the same leak. It is quite normal to fix one or more leaks and still find more, or have more show up in a weak spot now that there is more pressure.
