Ghost Writer Press is a publishing ghost writing hybrid.
However, most of their clients and communications is done over the internet.
No one in the office knows where their work or clients comes from except the owner, Phil Baker. If anyone asks questions about the legality or function of the publishing house they are usually dispatched by Baker. While the writers think they are working no books and ebooks for private clients and businesses they are actually working on projects for Baker's Elance account or writing content for his own webpages and books.
While I was there part of my duties were to do "light bookkeeping". One day the IRS stopped in for a visit and the next day I was told to put in two years of bank statements into quickbooks.
I was also supposed to " act as HR manager" which meant to tell people, applying for the job I was an HR person but really I wasn't.
In fact, Ghost Writer Press has some of the most deplorable hiring practices ever to be seen in an office. I was told to hire only young girls because " they work for less and they ask questions" Phil had a ready made ad to go on Craigslist which called for writers to work on " high quality books, ebooks, scripts for famed best selling author" The reality of this situation is that they work on schlocky web and sales material for a manic depressive loser

Sarah only worked with us just over two weeks and then we were forced to end the relationship. She seemed like a pleasant person and we have no idea why she would demonstrate animosity and commit slander. None of her statements have any truth. Unfortunately our only recourse was to hire an attorney who is investigating a libel suit against Ms Rogers and whoever else contributed to damaging our stellar International and local reputation in any way.
