Giant Recreation World Sold us a travel trailer that is a piece of junk! Melbourne Florida
Giant Recreation World located in Melbourne, Fl. Sold my husband and me a 30' Forest a River travel trailer that has caused a nothing but problems. It is a 2016 but appeared to have a little wear on it when we bought it off the showroom floor. We figured this was just from people looking at it as they shopped. We were told we were getting a great bargain but have learned since that great bargains come at a price! The first problem was that we were told that our Nissan truck would be able to haul the trailer because it was so light. Wrong!! After we purchased it, we realized we needed a bigger truck so we shelled out a lot of money for a heavy duty truck to haul the trailer. Next came all the material problems with the trailer: parts falling off inside and out, stabilizers that don't work, water backing up in the tub and sinks, a toilet seal that mysteriously vanished, closet and cabinet doors that came off their hinges, a. Furnace that pooped out when it was very cold outside ( we had to purchase a portable heater to keep warm), threads coming loose on all the furniture, wobbly sink faucets, shower trim that came off, mattress that is slowly sinking into the cheap piece of wood it sits on, toilet paper holder that popped off, straps that hold chairs while traveling coming loose from the wall...I could go on and on! This is a piece of junk! We are so upset because we have dreamed of traveling and when all of this stuff started happening, my husband had to try to fix it himself. We are up in Ga. Now and have no way of rectifying any of these problems until we get back home in three weeks. We are very Leary of having GRW even touch our trailer for fear they will do more harm than good! What can be done? We are seniors on a fixed income and are not rich.

I work for an RV dealer far, far from Florida. We carry three diferent lines of Forest River Product.
1st A service called Coach Net comes with your unit. Its like AAA but for trailers. If you are in a bad situation, Like no heat or the unit is not towable Call 877 801 0333 and ask for emergency road side service for a trailer that needs a towing company or if you need a repair ask for "Appointment Assistance" Be nice they are just people in cubicals that will phone Forest River Dealers untill they find one that will work on your unit.
2nd Call you Forest River Division Customer service phone number. The retail customer (YOU) has more pull to get help than any dealer.

There is 4 other lines they carry and under Forest River and I am unsure what they are allowed to sell at the Melbourn Location. Checking the web site for your brand will give you the phone #.
Again be nice, the first person you will talk to has no power to make you happy. He will need to go to a manager for help and permision.
You need to have the 17 number VIN (Serial Number) for your unit to get help.
Have a list ready, but only what has not been repaired, not what has allready been repaired.
Ask him to find you another dealer to take care of your repair list.
The one thing you will not win with is threads pulling on the fabric. UNLESS you have a failed seam. This is a minor apearance item and the selling dealer is instructed to trim for apperance at the dealers expense.
And now the bad news, Your deficency list is all minor issues by RV Dealer standards. Most of it should have been caught at PDI, but still no where near "Lemon", Just annoying. Be calm and let Forest River repair your unit.
