I bought three gift cards from the company on 10/23/2016 for TGI Friday's in the denomination of $50, $40 and $13.91. I tried using all three cards on 2/18/2016 at TGI Friday location in Canton, OH. To my astonishment the $50 card had no value on it while the $40 card had $4.62 on it. The third card had full value of $13.91 on it. I wrote to the company as soon a I got home. To my another astonishment I was told that cards were beyond their warranty. I investigated further with TGI Friday and received the following answer "We appreciate your time to contact our Guest Relations Department regarding your concerns with TGI Fridays Gift Cards. As per our records, your TGI Friday’s gift card 6006491584416916351 worth $50.00 was used on numerous occasions. Redeemed $35.38 on 08/30/16 at Store #1546 (CLEVELAND / MENTOR, OH) Redeemed $4.62 on 02/18/17 at Store #2706 (2706 - CANTON, OH) As per our records, your TGI Fridays gift card 6006491584406023507 worth $50.00 was used on 05/01/16 at our store in 1540 - RICHMOND/MIDLOTHIAN, VA for the full amount." I discovered I was sold gift cards that were already used before being sold to me. In essence I received any empty box, the company had to to know what they were selling to me.

i received a following response... I'm so sorry to hear about the issues with your TGI Friday's gift cards. Unfortunately, these cards are no longer covered by our 100-day guarantee and are not eligible for a refund at this time. We do check the balances of our cards prior to sale, but there are still some circumstances that may occur that are out of our control. As a result, we offer the 100-day guarantee so we can help out with any problems. I apologize again for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Have a wonderful day! This is obviously a scam, they are protecting an insider or (more likely) their third party sell and hens their profits. How can a card sold in 10/16 with full value as company claims have zero value and upon investigation shows the cards were used up purchase by me? If their claim of having full value is correct then someone on inside or the seller is aware of warranty expiring in 100 days, soon after which value goes to zero. This is a big scam, buyers be aware of this and other companies selling third party gift cards.
