Gillman Hyundai Of Austin ripoff This company bold face lied to me I was told a price and in the end they did not honor Austin Texas
I found a car online with a price that was 6000.00 dollars under sticker price and did not think they would honor it but to my suprise I had two seperate sales persons come and tell me that they would honor the price. I thought this is my lucky day...not so much. After suggesting I drive the car home and show my wife, running my credit report, (i have great credit) then the fun began. He first offered me 1200 for my trade in. I say no. He then went to 2500 and I say okay. They bring out some numbers and nothing is adding up. I guess they thought me stupid. They started a bunch of interesting addition and multiplication and subtracting... I was not buying any of it. Finally I say, look, I will sell the car myself and just take the car for the price agreed on. The sales manager came out and said he cannot sell me the car at that price and that he meant he would honor the price with my trade in. Funny, when the first guy told me they would honor the price they did not even know what my trade in was, it was parked on a side street. Needless to say this is a low down dirty practice of bait and switch and flat out lies and deception. NEVER go to any Gillman business as it is probably a practice they all employ.
