I was sold two chihuahua puppies Feburary 5 2006 from gizmo star chihuahuas. They were taken to the vet the next day here where I live in Albuquerque. The girl tested positive for parvo virus, and is being hospitalized. On the 7th of Feburary the boy fell ill and was hospitalized as well. He did in the vet clinic the next night. I was reembersed for only one dog(675). California law states that they owe me 150% of the purchase price for both dogs. I paid 675 for one and 775 for the other. The breeder is not complying and refusing to pay me any more. By law he owes me 2175-675= 1,500. The vet bills go far beyond that. I have all the documentation I need. I'm hoping this will help me collect for my loses, because this breeder doesn't want to pay me. The breeder's name is Connie and her husband is Bob.

A Breeder Who Condemns All Vets?

Do you, the breeder, have a vet? Just a quick search on the Internet on Neopar brought up lawsuits against vets for using the vaccine on puppies. I believe I'll contact my vet next week and see what he has to say about this particular drug. I don't deal in puppies, normally. I work in rescue and with adult dogs only (another member of our group takes does foster puppies). I may contact that person as well. They work for a pharmaceutical company. The shot to prevent heartworm was great too...until the reports started coming in on how many dogs it killed.

Wow I am appauled by this breeder. Give the lady her money back! Neopar works for 14 to 21 days. At what age did these pups get the Neopar shot. How dare you say a vet does not know what they are talking about. How many hours of vet school did you attend? I would go to court and sue for the whole 150% AND take all your vet docs. I think ANY judge will review vet docs BEFORE believing any breeder. Parvo is deadly and even Neopar cannot protect against it for very long. GO READ THE WEBSITE AGAIN. I just hate how breeders sell sick pups then blame the buyer. Breaking hearts is their moto. If the female was from another breeder or trade for stud IT IS STILL YOUR RESPONSABILITY and if you use Neopar so religiously why did you not do the female? Quit making excuses and pay up. Buyer, call the district attorney in your area and sue vor the 150% plus mental anguish and travel expenses. YOU WILL WIN! Good luck and do not let these people RIP YOU OFF!

This girl Wendi has SOME nerve. She bought two pups from us, one of them was from our sire and dam and the other one was from another breeder that we got from a breeding. The one we got from another breeder did become sick with parvo, OUR pups do not get parvo as we give them a vaccine called NEOPAR, everyone should check it out at as they are AMAZING!!! This vaccine virually wipes out parvo, but vets wont use it because they KNOW it wipes out parvo and they'd be out of business then because the amount of money they make from treating parvo is staggering. But anyways we SETTLED with this gal OUTSIDE of court, we have her emails as well as her phone conversation with us where she states we are settling this for the price of the one pup only, she was NOT asking compensation for the second one REGARDLESS of whether he comes down sick or not. The second pup DID NOT die of parvo, it died from low blood sugar at the hands of the vet, one who obviously does not know how to care for tiny fragile Chihuahuas. We offered this Wendi when she first said the first pup was sick, to come to her house, which was some 10 hours from us and pick up BOTH pups and give her money back or replace them as she was WORRIED about the boy getting sick, which I told her he IS NOT sick as he was in our care and was protected with the NEOPAR shots, so i was totally confidant that our pup was NOT sick, but she refused and against the fact that i told her NOT to admit the boy as hes fine and not to be suckered in by this vet, i wanted to pick him up and give her money back, but she did EVERYTHING that we told her NOT to do, so the second one dies from a seizure due to low blood sugar as they did NOT give him the needed sugar boost since he had just had a long stressful ride. So we settled outside of court for EXACTLY what she asked us for and that was the price of the female and now SHE HAS THE NERVE TO COME BACK AND WANT MORE. We bent backwards for this girl, but you cant make everyone happy. We've been in business for 20 years and have 100s upon 100s of happy customers and 100s of repeat customers, but unfortunately you cant make them all happy, even tho we gave her EXACTLY WHAT SHE ASKED US FOR. She really is a piece of work, all that we did for her and was willing to do for her, SHE ALONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF THIS GORGEOUS BLUE AND WHITE CHIHUAHUA PUPPY THAT WAS A FAVORITE OF MINE AND IT SICKENS ME THAT SHE REFUSED TO TAKE OUR ADVICE. We've raised Chihuahuas for 20 years so we know what we're doing. She feels guilty cause she knows she caused the death of that pup. We told her we would leave immediately to come and get the blue and white one, and give back her money as we were THAT confidant that that pup was fine. had she listened to us that little boy would still be alive.
