Gleam Guard was hired to darkened all of the woodwork in our house. However, the workmanship was very poor and very soon the finish began coming off of the cabinets and woodwork where Gleam Guard had provided a finish. The finish is uneven with puddling and missed spots. We have contacted them many times and they've been marginally responsive over the past year up until February when the responses ceased. Previously they came out and made some changes but it just made the problems worse. They dropped stain on a new piece of furniture in our entry way and didn't even inform us, they just tried to cover it up.

Further, they did a poor job of keeping stain off the floors and walls with dripped stain on our parquet floor, which will not come off.  We were told the work would take a week but it ended up taking over three weeeks.  Then they had to keep coming back to make repairs and do work they missed.  They use college kids who have no experience in this type of work. The  the finish is chipping off the cabinets with even slight contact and extreme care must be used to prevent further damage.Attempts to contact Mr. Boothe and Mr. Kleinhaus to resolve this issue have failed. They did commit to pay for cabinet refacing to the Better Business Bureau and Angie's list, in writing in Feb. 2013 however this has not occured. Further attempts to contact Mr. Boothe to resolve this issue have failed. Though he committed to pay for repairs he has failed to follow through. We hired a gentlemen Mr. Boothe sent out to look at our cabinte to complete the refacing. He was among the reputable companies that have given us estimates to restore our woodwork. We would like for Mr. Boothe to honor his committment to pay for the restoration of the woodwork in our home.  We are willing to accept an average of the three estimates we recieved(his contractor being the highest estimate).

Don't stop the work for this

I had my cabinets done by gleam guard a year ago and the work they did was well done and very meticulous. What this person is talking about seems highly exaggerated and nothing to stop you from getting your cabinets done by gleam guard. Tracey booth is a very nice man and kept his word with me. I did have a young man do my work, but he was very nice and had me check everything over multiple times to make sure I was pleased. Very happy with the work I received. The job was done within 2 days and was a fraction of the price of getting new cabinets or new doors for that matter.

I wanted to rebutt the comment made by "Steve", from Jenks/Tulsa.

I have had lots of work done by Gleam Guard, and I worked with Tracy Booth.  I have found their work to be excellent and Mr. Booth to be a man of his word.  He did employ some college kids, but gave them close supervision.  I felt very comfortable with all of his employees and managers.

I don't understand how the GG process could have damaged anyones cabinets or woodwork, as they don't sand, or use harsh chemicals.  Not only did they do the work, but came back several time to make sure I was happy.  I have not worked with anyone who has tried harder to keep the clients happy.

I have referred family members and friends to Gleam Guard and everyone I know has been extremely happy.
