Global Auto Registry Auto Advertising Services Scam Langley, British Columbia
Do not make the same mistake I did in advertising a vehicle for sale with Global Auto Registry. They charged me $377.94 CDN to advertise my vehicle "worldwide" with a "GUARANTEE" that if my vehicle did not sell within 90 days I would be refunded $300.00 CDN (they would retain the remainder for their services). Sounded good.... couldn't really hurt.
After 90 days had passed, and I had had not received even one enquiry on my vehicle, I completed the required documentation (which included a declaration sworn to by a Notary Public that I still owned the vehicle) and mailed it to them (Priority Courier), ensuring it arrived within the 5 calender as required. I mailed the package on September 22nd, 2008.
As of March 2nd, 2009, I had not received any reply from them. I phoned them on that date and spoke with a rep who put me on hold, then came back and stated that she had confirmed that my refund had been processed and I would be receiving my $300.00 by mail within the next 3 weeks.
As of May 14th, 2009, I have not received my refund from Global Auto Registry. On top of that I have left them approximately 5 voicemails in the past month with no reply. It's funny that they are suddenly not answering their phones. I have decided to write this off as a scam and although I am pissed that I am out $377.94 I guess I'll just rack it up as a learning experiance.
