Global Cash Flow Network Misleading promotion, deceptive coaching, website and screening of new applicants Tempe Arizona

My concerns about Global Cash Flow Network began with my first telephone contact with their representatives who called me to complete my application process to be enrolled in their training program to become a Certified Media Placement Specialist. On the scam review page authored by Mark Hodges, I was impressed by his observation that GCFN doesn't just accept anybody into their program, but carefully screens their applicants who must fill out an application. Subsequently, I spent at least an hour doing so and answering narrative questions in a very personal and professional manner. I also clicked on a few radio buttons.

It was evident when speaking with their "recruiter" that the narrative portions of the application had not been read. In fact, when I asked about what they thought about my application, I was asked to read it back to them over the phone. The next thing that occurred was that I was asked to listen to an audio presentation, and thereafter, an attempt was made to sell me their Executive Media Package for hundreds of dollars, while assuring me I had been accepted into the program. I thought to myself, this is a back end promotion that is practically on the front end. Where is the support and coaching?...Let's just see what else we can sell this guy.

I also discovered during this initial conversation that I had enrolled at a Platinum level and that there were other levels which I had not been informed about. I would have preferred to have been given that option up front. It was explained that my commissions would be higher at a platinum level, but the basic educational materials and bonuses were the same at all levels.

When I had my first telephone meeting with my level 1 media coach, it took him about 10 minutes to start his pitch on selling me their Targetted Traffic program. I was really surprised by this attempt to step me up to a several thousand dollar media promotion program for someone who is just starting to learn about different media strategies. When I asked about what kind of return on investment I could expect and what kind of advertising budget I would need to be successful with promoting the GCFN's websites, I received evasive answers. Also, when I asked for references for people who were successful with Targetted Traffic, the coach was unwilling to provide any. He suggested I look on the testimonial link. My coach did make it clear that his company was all about being an advertising company which means they are in the business of selling advertising.

The link with testimonials is curious to me. I would think that GCFN would host a forum for students and prospective media placement specialists to share their experiences, ask questions, etc. and dialogue with GCFN professionals. The testimonials are all positive, naturally. They are screened. Most of them come from folks who are just getting started. They seem very enthusiastic. I would like to have seen comments from folks who had alot of success to report over an extended period of time, not just from people who seem to be on an initial glow from having found a special solution to their financial future.

The BBB has 21 complaints on GCFN which the BBB reports they were resolved. They also advise in investigating any business opportunity, to find out as much as you can about the company's founders and principals, to request financial statements, and proof of claims that are made in the promotional materials. I made such a request. A media support personnel emailed me back and passed my email onto a supervisor. I never got any further response or even acknowledgement.

Another concern that I had occurred after studying the content of one of the websites, www.mywebcashstore.com. This site is meant to be a internet shopping mall, a one stop shop for all ones favorite ecommerce sites. Why would I want to go through such a site when I could go directly to ebay, amazon, etc.? Other internet marketers stress that people online are looking for a solution to a specific problem, etc., and that it is vital to market to them through nitch market strategies. Such a website does not address those kinds of customer needs. So, I wanted to be open to this concept to see if I could learn something. I left my name and email address of my wife.

All of the follow-up responders were about the business opportunity and had nothing to do with the website's promo to being this megalink superstore where you could shop for everyone and be reminded about anniversaries, B-days, etc.

Last I week I received a call from another media coach from GCFN asking me why I had not bought any advertising. I explained as I have attempted to do so in this report my concerns about doing business with his company. The gentleman made no replies, did not attempt to address any of my concerns or refer me to anyone who could. He simply thanked me for my time. That was it --surprising for a company which wants to develop long term business relationships with its Media Placement Specialists.

I am not in a position to truly judge the quality of the educational materials that GCFN provides. I am too new to internet marketing to do so. Their bonuses and other mini courses have been informative. I think their market is internet newbies who are sincerely looking for a great opportunity, want to learn, and yet are vulnerable to very sophisticated marketing strategies which it appears to me GCFN can take advantage of. One needs to exercise great caution if they are going to affiliate themselves with GCFN, have their own personal marketing budget, and diversify ones teachers, coaches and mentors with other programs.

After filing my report about my experiences with GCFN on July 22, I was subsequently contacted by Mr. Wade Matteson, the manager of GCFN's Quality Management's Department. His email addres is [email protected].
Wade and I had spoken by phone several weeks before, he had made a settlement with me re: their Executive Media Package.

In contacting me, he wanted to address my concerns and do whatever he could to create a satisfactory business relationship between his GCFN and myself which I appreciated. He outlined steps that his company was taking to improve their educational and coaching process including the addition of video instruction. He also discussed with me additional features that media placement specialists can have added to their affiliate linked website including additional webpages with a HTML editor. He also admitted to me that The Targetted Traffic Program was being pitched up front, but encouraged me to call back and request a level 2 media coach for additional support.

I felt his sincerity in attempting to smooth out some of his new company's rough spots and sensed that their growing pains in the long run would pay off. Several weeks later while previewing The Jackal's Work At Home Manifesto, I noted how strongly he endorses GCFN for his newbies. Such an endorsement cannot be taken lightly.
