This company engages in illegal SLAMMING of accounts; that is, when they switch your long-distance company to their faulty account. I had an account with AT&T account. I have been with AT&T forever, long distance and local. Recently, I discovered my telephone wasn't working; i.e., I would dial certain numbers, and a fuzzy connection would entail, along with a man saying, "Your call cannot be completed."

I called AT&T, and to my utter shock and dismay, learned that Global Crossing SLAMMED me on October 10. I instructed AT&T to freeze my account. This is the second time this year that my account was slammed by unprofessional, bankrupt-bound companies such as Global Crossing. The other company is Americatel, which I have also reported.

If this happens to you, immediately call AT&T (or whoever you are with) and switch back, and tell them to FREEZE your account. That way, the slammers can't get through. Thereafter, file a Complaint with the FTC. Some states have their own jurisdiction, such as California, and you must file with a different entity (In CA, it's the CPUC). Take care of it. Companies like this need to be shut down and the government should issue punitive damages. The conduct is despicable.

Global Crossing Telemanagement, Inc. - Lying on Phone, Pretend to be State of MI Collecting Back Taxes

These people ARE the scammers, just google their dba name: Global Crossing Telemanagement, Inc. They Robocalled me from586-270-3079and left a message to call them back at866-218-7224.

This was these jerks saying they're calling from the State of MI and I owe back taxes.  It is not any state!  And people are falling for it.  I see complaints and lawsuits going back over a decade, with them still in business!

I highly recommend you look them up, they are absolutely NOT anything to do w/ back taxes, they are phonies and liars, in fact some branches of them call and ask to be paid in gift cards, others say your utilities will be shut off in an hour if you don't pay them, others say they are sending the police to your door. Repeat: They are scammers, not an actual collection agency! Stop talking to them.

They have been in trouble and sued many times. Just look at them on Yelp, Google reviews and BBB. Yet they keep getting licenses, even once they declared Bankruptcy, and they keep on going, your name and # on the DNC Registry means absolutely nothing. They have several other names, but they have hundreds of "locations", not really at those locations, allowing them to spoof all area codes in the US.

I got a Robocall, owe my state lots of money, but just give them my ss#! If you actually talk to this lot of them, they are from India and they are spoofing #'s. Make a complaint or write a review on one of these sites. The ones there now are all Negative. They do have offices somewhere in the US, apparently NYC, so you CAN sue them in Small Claims Court. I highly recommend that tactic, it would be an amount PER actual call.

Oh, and they're Bankrupt, they have closed many of their locations and they operate in dozens of places, spoofing local numbers to fool you. These people ARE the scammers, just google their dba name: Global Crossing Telemanagement, Inc.

I answered the phone and a man introduces himself. Before he could get into his sells pitch, I told him that I wasn't interested and hung up the phone. About five minutes later they called using a number in my state. I answered and there was no response so I listened. After about a half a minute they hung up. I then did reverse phone check and it turned out to be Global Crossing Telemanagement-WI.

Just as I fiinished, the phone rang again. This time it was about ten minutes and unavailable appeared on the ID. I answered the phone. The same man started talking. I asked if they were Global Crossing Telemanagement, then he quickly said they would put my number on the do not call list. I've been checking my voicemail set up to see if they tried to switch my service.
