Global Equity Network was in the process of making staff changes during my experience. I have been working with the New Office Manager, Melissa Davis and she has been most helpful. As of yesterday I was very satisfied to see that she has issued a credit in the amount of $1,000 back to my credit card. Althought the process was a long one, it restores my faith in humanity knowing that people generally want do the right thing. I greatly appreciate Melissa's help and am certain she will be an asset to Global Equity Network. If I had any questions in the future about the sell of my timeshare I would feel comfortable calling Melissa for help.

It has been over 30 days since I was told I would receive a credit in the amount of $1,000. Recap: I called within 3 days to state I changed my mind about selling my timeshare. Was told no problem I would have a refund within two weeks probably sooner. Was given a date that it had been credited (July 8th). I have documentation of every successful contact that I made with whom I spoke with and what was said. As of date (8/16/08) not one statement that has been made to me has occured. Bottom line: I have been nothing but lied to. My next week may be used for a week in Vegas for a face to face conversation. You can be certain I am not one to just go away. Having travelled on my two fixed weeks for over 15 years and being in a large school system for over 20 years I am very resourceful and get great satisfaction in uncovering deception and helping other people protect themselves from acts such as this.

Global Equity continues to fail with promised refund. I have attempted to work with the company. They seems to have a new office manager (Melissa) who I thought was going to redeem the reputation. Seems the same pattern of customer service is being followed as earlier. This has to be the best use of telemarketing tactics ever. I will continue to pursue my filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as the disputed amount with my credit card company (Bank of America) who has been VERY helpful in this case. I will also now go to another level and file a complaint with the Consumer Reports, the National Association of Attorney's General and American Society of Travel Agents. I would advise anyone being contacted by Global Equity or any other company soliciting sale or rental of your timeshare week to hang up immediately. Most of us have paid our timeshare off and own more than one week which makes us prime target for the tease of making money on the sell of one of your weeks... this is the bait don't take it. Use your week or give it to friends & family. My family travels atleast 2-3 weeks a year. We have been everywhere and we always talk with other owners and share advise. I will make it a point to meet everyone at each resort and tell them of this experience I have had with Global Equity so they will not fall prey to this scam. Maybe I'll have some tee shirts and banners made up to make sure everyone is informed.

I have made a positive contact with Global Equity and am currently awaiting a possible resolution to this issue. I will update as soon as an action has taken place.

Global Equity Network/USA (Timeshare Resales) has still not issued a refund as was assured to me. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as my credit card company who is disputing this for me. What a rip off! I will no longer accept any calls from any company soliciting anything. Global Equity (as they are going by currently) solicited, misrepresented, lied, charged without consent, and gave misleading information. They take your money and simply refuse to accept your calls that's their scam. I'm sure they bounce around different company names to keep the scam going. I can't imagine what kind of people choose to work in this type of business where there is no integrity, honor, or respect and knowingly take advantage of people in this way. Thanks to Global Equity I will never sell my timeshare fixed week.
