Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My 17 yr. old son (a minor by the way, and very trusting)received a telephone call from Global Financial offering him a credit card with hundreds of dollars of free coupons. For a small fee of 221.95, which would be debited out of his banking account. He fell for it. Shortly after realized that he shouldn't have given them his information so he called to cancel.

They said they could do that no problem, but he would have to wait a few months to receive his packet and as soon as he did he could return it and they would refund his money. He waited a while before he told but when he told me about it, I called them and demanded his money. They told me the same story.

I did not think about contacting our bank until it was to late and the 60 day time frame in which my bank could have retrieved the money was over. So here my son is out 221.95 with what looks like no way to retrieve it. The telephone # we had for them of course is now disconnected. If you can help us retrieve his money, please help

#2Consumer Suggestion

Fri, June 20, 2003

I'm not sure how often you check Rip-off.com, but wanted to share this information, which was posted here by another consumer, ripped off by this company, Global Financial. You can use the fax number posted: 480-785-2292 or write to: First American Payment Processing, Inc., 9633 South 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ, 85044. You can review the other persons letter, who was kind enough to share this information. I am wary about using names, out of concern for privacy. It was posted June 19, 2003, and can be found by accessing Keyword: Global Finacial or the category of: Credit & Debt Services. I just felt like I had to respond to your letter, because your son is only 17 years old. Maybe you could contact law enforcement to increase all or any charges being pressed against Global Financial. I hope you get this letter. God bless.
