Global Ocean Freight moving More Lies, rip offs and and debts not paid Plantation Florida
I contracted Global Ocean Freight to move my personal effects from Jacksonville Florida to the Sunshine Coast in Australia. The goods were collected on November 29th 2007 and arrived in Australia on Feb 12th 2008, yes I received another couple of invoices for charges not initially mentioned, I wish that was the only problem I have had with this nightmare company. As of today April 14th 2008, I still have not received my personal effects and it does not look like that is going to happen soon. Global Ocean Freight will not pay their local agent the money they owe them in Australia, so my and three other unfortunate peoples effects are being held to ransom.
My family is sleeping on the floor and has been since January. My husband is a 22 year military veteren, with service related back injuries and it breaks my heart to see the pain he is in every day.
I have pleaded with the President Eti Cohen who has done nothing to help at all. I e-mail daily and phone regularly and all get is excuse after excuse. The first month, was the money is paid, then when I demanded proof, it turns out surprise surprise there was a problem with the transfer, and an investigation done (7-10 days), they they had to recall funds (you guessed it another 7-10 days), now they are querying the invoice and paperwork from their Australian agent. All of which is nothing to do with me as I have paid every invoice sent to me.
Shame on you Eti Cohen and Shame on you Stephanie Bodner for all the lies and excuses.
I only hope I can stop some other poor person being ripped of by you
