GLOBAL OCEAN FREIGHT TERRRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH GLOBAL OCEAN FREIGHT - LIES AND PROMISES - ADDITIONAL FEES Plantation Florida
move from USA to Belgium on sept 27, 2007. We signed the contract and a pick-up date was scheduled.
One month later, we are already back in Belgium. However, even after more than 50 emails and an equal amount of calls, our properties (450 cb ft) are not yet picked-up.
From our personal experience , we can advise you the following things if you ever consider to use the services of Global Ocean Freight Inc:
1. Do not believe the scheduled pick-up date. After 1 month and after a signed contract your pick-up will not be finalized
2. These people are experts in apologies (read: lies). E.g. our company had a holiday, truck had engine problems, truck was too small (they had all dimensions), no fork-lift available, no crew
3.After one month of waiting on the pick-up, they want to charge extra fees (900 USD) for the move of our hot tub, while this was included in the signed contract and mentioned in several emails.
4. Dont trust their promises (even if it is written in a contract and/or email).
5. They send you around from one to another contact person and you will never have the possibility to talk to the owner.
6. They never find your paperwork back.
