Global Security Concepts Southern Highlands Security & Olympia Management are SCAM ARTISTS Las Vegas Nevada
So I find out that Global Security Concepts, GSC hereafter, gets paid $192,000 per month by Olympia Management Services to provide what they call "security" for all of Southern Highlands.
The funny part about the money these hardworking residents are forking over hand over fist for "security" is that GSC doesn't allow their officers to prevent crime. That's right folks, the Director of Security, who was smart enough to weasel his way into his position because he has NO backbone, has punished all officers that actually do more than drive around in circles in their patrol truck and wave to people.
What really concerns me is that the NRS for a "Private Patrolman" clearly states, and I quote "a person engaged in the business of employing and providing for other persons watchmen, guards, patrolmen, uniformed officers to control traffic, bodyguards or other persons for the purpose of protecting persons or property, including armored transport, to prevent the theft, loss or concealment of property of any kind or to investigate the theft, loss or concealment of property he has been hired to protect."
Now I will admit, I am no genius here, but I do know how to find exact rules and regulations...I mean we are in the 21st century I think?!! How difficult is it to look at the NRS if you are an idiot and don't know how to pretend to do your job?
I am reporting this as a rip-off because the hardworking residents of Southern Highlands need to know the truth. They believe that their hard earned money being paid to the HOA is actually going towards the prevention of their property being stolen or vandalized.
However, according to the Director of Security Froilan Pecson, and I quote, "it is NOT our job to prevent crime here in Southern Highlands". Oh really...so what is your job then smart guy?? Last time I checked theft, and loss or concealment of property of any kind was the same thing as CRIME.
You see the real truth is the Mr. Pecson fills a billet 40 hours a week as the master patrol supervisor but instead of patrolling the neighborhood Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. he is busy surfing the internet and making up retarded passdowns and memos that don't comply with the NRS standards so there aren't any patrol officers or real supervisors out on the streets making him look bad.
So if you have any doubt in your mind that Mr. Pecson is hard at work behind his desk go ahead and call the 24 hour dispatch center and ask to speak with him, but make sure you are calling to "praise the company" otherwise he will have the dispatcher tell you he is in a meeting so he doesn't get confronted...no way, that would be too much like work or even scary for him.
Hopefully the residents of Southern Highlands will read this and start coming to their association meetings because the less they do the more control Olympia Management Services has over what security does and doesn't do.
So on a side note, it should also be known that Olympia has recently been approved for more money for GSC to get new trucks and new tires and better maintenance for the vehicles. Yet we are still driving the same gas guzzling V8's that we started with and are being told to sit in a area of high visibility for hours on end each shift.
Oh yeah, not to mention the order all officers received to only drive 30 miles per shift. If you aren't sure what that means, let me break it down to you. 30 miles = 1 patrol per shift in your neighborhood if there aren't any dog barking complaints or parking infractions. So if you wonder why your car has been burglarized 17 times it isn't exactly the patrol officers fault...it is Olympia and GSC's policies that caused this pandemic.

I have been in the security inductry for 9 years, I am an Army vet, Iahve a degree in criminal Justice and in a few short months I will also have a degree in Paralegal Studies, so I am very well suited to comment on the matter. I have been on special events, VIP protection, secure facilities, patrol sites, and stationary low key posts; There was one constent at every location, protect the interests of the client. The client if unsatisfied with the non-performance of the agreed contract to terminate for that reason and then sue for their money back. If the company wants to conserve gas on a 30 mile property, fine, issue a bike to go with their service vehicle to patrol the immedaite vicinity around the vehicle to compensate. this would open dialogue between the patrolman and residents so that he can actually be aware of anything happening in the community he is actively PATROLING. Knowing what happens in a community is vital to ba able to deter anything, simply parking your vehicle for entire shift in not patroling, it is not in the best interest of the client, it is dereliction of duty and in certain situations can be considered criminal negligence. If they were contracted to patrol and deter and they are not performing to the agreed contract I know several companies that will. Get rid of them, get your money back, and make sure Headqauters has that man fires for advisinf patrolman no be negligent in their duties because that opens the entire company up for numerous lawsuits. As a side note I was looking at this company for a part-time position to supplemnt income while I continue my education and I thank you for posting this because I will not associate myself with negligent or lazy oranizations. I have my own reputation to consider.

But ALL private security guard contracting services skim checks and abuse their employees because there is NO FEDERAL LAW GOVERNING the PROTECTION of PRIVATE SECURITY PERSONNEL! And there SHOULD be!

This reports sounds like it's been written by a disgruntled employee - or perhaps by an EX-employee. Security guards serve to OBSERVE, DETER and DETECT. They are NOT law enforcement officers - and as such they have NO MORE authority than the average joe. If you don't believe me do some more research. Hopefully the presence of a security guard in the community will help serve to DETER criminal activity but there's no guarantee. So you can't blame the security guard is crime exists in the area - their only purpose is to OBSERVE, DETER and DETECT - keep repeating it till ya get it and maybe some other security company will be willing to give you a job.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN THE VICTIM OF A CRIME AND THESE GUYS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE PATROLLING AND YOU HAVE PROOF OF WHAT YOU HAVE ALLEGED HERE -- IT IS IN WRITING ESPECIALLY ON THE COMPANY'S LETTERHEAD STATIONERY --EITHER THE SECURITY COMPANY'S OR THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIRING THEM. SEE IF YOU CAN GET SWORN DEPOSITIONS FROM FORMER EMPLOYEES AS TO THE POLICIES OF THEIR DAILY OPERATIONS.... YOU MIGHT HAVE A LAWSUIT FOR LACK OF PROTECTION AND NEGLIGENCE. YOU NEED TO COMPLAIN TO THE CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS OF OLYMPIA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ABOUT THIS SITUATION. YOU NEED TO COMPLAIN TO THE STATE AGENCY THAT LICENSES PRIVATE SECURITY...
