We have been customers of Go Daddy for 6 years and never had any issues when we required service or help.

Last week I had accidentally removed our website and contacted Go Daddy support. The site was just backed up the same morning and restore would cost $150.

Site was restored however there were 5 errors and I could not log in via the /admin url. My only option was through the Go Daddy customer login. i called support again and asked if site was backed up this morning then why do I see these errors and issues? Support than tried to sell me paid units of Premium support which was in the $300-$400 dollar range. Support would not help me due to this being a catastrophic restore and directed me to Premium Support Purchases.

While listening to supports sales pitch I had fixed all errors but 1 on my own. The last error I fixed after ending the call with Go Daddy. The one where I could not login using /admin. By deleting the user and recreating. That’s all it took.

Also if that wasn’t enough... I noticed no email activity since March 2018. We only had 1 user account but have PDF forms that are sent to that account and RE-routed. Apparently email had stopped and Office 365 was now available for $59 a year. We received any notice that email was no longer supported. We have a choice in website Hosting providers and very dissatisfied with the recent treatment from Go Daddy.
