I responded to an advertisement for satellite services with Dish Network through a company named Go Dish.  Go Dish was offering a $100.00 Visa gift card in lieu of a free installment of services with Dish Network and a 2 year price lock of $39.99 (Flex Pack).  Around Sept. 20th of 2016, I got satellite services installed that was not free as advertised.  I was charged a "one time processing fee" of $49.00 plus taxes to get the installation.  I, also downloaded the reward certificate #GDH016816, filled it out and included a copy of my first month's bill.

I was required to mail the certificate and billing copy within the first 60 days of installation to:  Mpell, Attn:  GDH016, P.O. Box 230820, Encinitas, CA 92023-0820.  There's a customer service number, 1-800-450-1575 that has an automated voice that tells me that the office is closed during the daytime hours that they're supposed to be open for business.  When I checked the status of the reward redemption, they deny that they've received my certificate.  I mailed it and a copy of my bill in September.  I think I've been scammed by this, seemingly, fake company.  I don't understand why Dish Network would be affiliated with this type of dishonest business practice.  I'm going to try resending the certificate again; but, I don't really expect Go Dish to respond.

You see an Independent Dealer has to purchase the different gifts that could be used for a promotion. Just like what Go Dish has offered you to get you to sign up through them.

I don't know if Go Dish actually purchased the Visa Gift Cards from Dish Network. Dish Network would be the only one to tell you if the purchased the Visa Gift Cards from them. I'm guessing that Dish wont do anything to help you out.

I don't know if it was a scam or not, but if you do get your card. After paying them 50.00 for processsing fees for the installation. Your only going to end up with 50.00 in your pocket. I never charged for a processing fee to anyone I signed up for Dish Network.

Dish Network was sued by 46 State Attorney General's Offices in 2010 and I would contact your local State Attorney General Office. Just ot see if this is a violation Dish Netowrk agreement with them.

But to be honest this seems to be a growing trend with any company offering some sort of gift. You usually have to fight for months in order to get what they promised to give to the consumer.

I have two customers who got a rebate for Sirius Satelltie Radio. Well it took three months of phone calls and repeatly sending in the forms and copies of the UPC. I told them to make copies of all the originals just in case something was to happen.

Then I finially called Sirius Satellite and I was told it wasn't them offering the rebate . It was the companies making the radio for their service. But they sure were promoting it on Sirius Radio Broadcast.

People would be a whole lot happier if the focused on the service and not the prize.
