In early April of this year, I purchased a one-week trial with Go Freelance's website. However, I went to bbb.com (better business bureau's website) right after, and found out that their grade was "F".

In response, I tried to immediately cancel my membership. However, their site made it impossible.

First, they tried to convince me to continue using it, saying that it takes time to get results (and I tried it for months last year with no results- I only considered giving them another try since the site had supposedly been improved).

Then, I got an error page-or something of that sort. Finally, I emailed [email protected], and I got an automated email (not from a live person)a minute later which was completely unhelpful.

It gave me this email address to contact so that they'd help me, but when I tried it, I got another unhelpful automated email in response.

I then contacted Better business bureau and filed a complaint-this was about 3 months ago. On July 25th I got an email from Better Business Bureau with a letter attached. The first paragraph of the letter read:

The Better Business Bureau has attempted to present your complaint to Freelance Work Exchange in an attempt to resolve this matter to your mutual satisfaction. Unfortunately, despite our efforts to achieve a mutually satisfactory resolution of this matter, we have received no response to your complaint. We have attempted to contact Freelance Work Exchange through written correspondence twice on your behalf. We have also attempted to contact this firm by telephone. Despite such repeated efforts, we are compelled to close this matter in our files. This does not minimize the importance of your concerns to you, nor is it any reflection upon the validity of your dispute. We wish to provide you with prompt notification, as you may wish to pursue this matter through an alternative resource.

For this reason, I am demanding action on the part of Go Freelance, since I've been charged $29.95 per month by them (about $150 total from april to now, although I have not used their site, since they received a rating of "F" on bbb.com).
