I am writing on behalf of my father. In September of 2010, my father purchased a scooter online from www.gosouthernmd.com with his debit for $2,140.00 plus shipping. This was due to arrive in October. The scooter never arrived. He called and was told by Roberto Remitz that it would be delivered in November. No scooter arrived. My father is disabled and Veteran, who could not walk. He was thrilled to have saved up enough to buy a scooter and was upset to
learn that it hadn't arrived, he considered this to be the last splurge of his life. When again it had not been delivered my father was at a loss. I asked him to give me the name of the place and I began calling. At first "Rob", Roberto Remitz insisted it was delivered. Then the issue was "going to be looked into". All the while I was promised a call back. It never happened. I was the one who had to call back through all of this. When I got in touch with Rob again he apologized profusely. It seems that my father's scooter had been delivered to the store in Arizona. He already paid for it and thought it was his demo! I was told it would take some time to find a crate but it would be delivered to him and to please thank him for his patience. This was in the beginning of January. My father asked me in February to ask for a refund which I did do. I was told that Brian the "accountant" was away for the week and would take care of it when he returned. I called again the following week and Rob wanted to know why accounting hadn't contacted me, he was to the point of being beligerent. Rob told me that my father's debit card
could not be credited that he had to have a check mailed out and that he would meet with Brian and it would be mailed out soon.

Now here we are the end of March. My father had not received a check. I called yesterday and now was told by Steve that he had was in charge and a new company has taken over and that it will be called Kavelex. Steve of course said all the same things Rob had said. One was my father paid by check so that was a problem, (no he didn't), they couldn't just write him out a check for the full amount, and that my father would recieve a check in four days of $500 and they would have to pay him off because it was a new company and they would be at a negative. They were trying to settle old debts (which he assured me there weren't many) but my father would be paid. He then transferred me back to Elena, who gave me a check number to reassure me. If he didn't receive a check in four days, I was to call back and speak to Steve. It never arrived.
New company? Kavalex which I was told by Steve will be the new company, is actually Brian Czochara Kavalex LLC. Brian Czochara has been the owner and CEO of Go Southern MD since the and he and his wife Anna own Pharmalink Pharmaceuticals Inc. Roberto Remitz still claims on some networks he is CEO and co-founder of both as well. Accounting Department? There are only a handful of people that work there. My father ordered from www.gosouthernmd.com
because he saw their label on some hospital equipment and thought that they had to be a reputable company. This is a major purchase for someone who is ill and who has to scrape and save just to make a purchase like this. My father, a veteran, would be disgusted to know of all the flag waving they do on the web compared to the service they actually provide.
Unfortunately my father died with this issue unresolved.

Store problem with vendor ought not be the customer's problem

If your business has an issue with a vendor you buy merchandise from, that ought not be YOUR customer's issue. YOU need to provide YOUR customer, or his heirs, restitution. Getting YOUR money back from where you bought the scooters is YOUR problem, not the customer's.

What you told ME Steve, is my father would receive checks, from your company to pay him back.  This was a brand new scooter that should not have needed any parts or repair and was to be shipped to him direct.  The bank, because it was a debit not a credit card, said the original company is now defunct.  This Catalina company is a company used by Your company.  Easy to pass the buck and not take responsibility.  How is it that other customers were able to get theirs?

Scooter problem

Yes you are correct.  Let me clarify this.  There is a company called Catalina Treasures that we have been ordering this scooter from him for over 2 years.  At one time we were doing about 10 a month. His name is Scott and he has both scooters that are owned by you and me respectfully(see pictures of the scooters in front of our office.  Those are it and the red one is yours).  Both scooters you see on our website are in his possession in LA.  He will not give them to us.  The reason why is because he wants us to pay over 2k just to fix them in parts.  Both scooters were in our showroom for purposes of having people test drive them locally in Arizona.  They had a few issues and they did not run anymore so we had Scott pick them up.  Well, he will not fix them even though they are under warranty.  This one of the many problems that we had with Catalina Treasures.  He will not fix any ideas that are under warranty or after the warranty unless you pay a ridiculous rate for parts and labor.  We are all at his mercy and he seems to thrive on it.  He also over charges based on the actual price of these scooters and he has no loyalty to his dealer network.  He piggybacks off our great search engine clicks and poaches our customers when we sent them to his LA location to test drive these scooters.  Since we are under new ownership as of November 1st, 2011, there is not much I can do.  I told you NUMEROUS times to do a chargeback with your credit card company and you will get your money back.  Right now the old owners and new ones are out the 2k that we spent on these scooters that are in Catalina Treasures and he is unwilling to ship it to you and the orange one back to us.  This is the dilemna that we are in.  I hope you under stand and let us know when the chargeback is complete so we can write this order off and pay for the chargeback over time.  This is what the new owners are doing to keep the cash flow positive.  My name is Steve and I am just trying to get you the money back.  Since we have ousted Catalina Treasures, we have a great and very honest group that is importing this scooter in from China and we have had no problems since.  We all believe in Karma and the greed that Scott has shown us is something that we hope will put him out of business because he is doing it for all the wrong reasons.
