GoDaddy, Starfield Technologies, EmailGoDaddy Buggy, data destoying app email hosting with 200 mb of storage ripoff Internet
A few months back I began using GoDaddy as a name registrar.
When they offered email hosting with 200 mb of storage I thought it a good deal. UNTIL the following occurances:
1.)They will NOT PROVIDE DNS for your email account even if you register the domain and have the email acct with them.
2.)They never resolve any issues with the buggy email app that they license through Starfield Technologies.
3.) The address book looks like it keeps your data when you paste in into a field and update it. But the next time that you open up the record all of you data is gone!
4.)Their address book search does not search all of the field and makes it very difficult to find data.
5.)Rules based folder relocation of mail is buggy.
6.) You can NOT pack and download your mail in order to archive it.
7.)There were at least a dozen more non-trivial issues that they have failed to address at all.
*** I would like to suggest that anyone looking for email hosting think about Googles upcoming 1 gigabye accounts that are to be free. In conjunction with www.dotster.com name registration and mail redirection (maybe $30 a year) one can have an excellent priced and large email account that is under your own domain name.
My advice is to avoid both GoDaddy and Starfield Technologies.
