I was on my computer and the entire screen's contents were shaking and in BOLD red letters read, "TROJAN VIRUS" all over the screen. I could not manuver my computer to do anything. The screen read the only way to get rid of this virus was to purchase the $99 antivirus protection.
I put in my billing and debit card information but then I backed out, I backspaced without entering or finalizing the transaction.
2 days later I see my bank statement showing not only the $99 charge I did not authorize but an additional $3 international charge.
I received absolutely nothing for my money. I did not finalize the transaction.
I tried to contact the company but could not.
I contacted my bank which they placed (tempporarily) the $99.
I also ordered a new atm card with new debit card #s.
My bank, Bank of America, sent me a letter requesting I PROVE the fraud with print screens of the website etc which I had none since I did not visit any website. B of A also sent me a questionaire which was not relevant to my situation: asking if I returned the product or services, who did I speak to when I called and other information which sounded more like a negative letter trying to prove my claim to be illegitamate.
If B of A does not help me out I will change my banking preferences and maybe I will write about them on this site! So much for having thier customer's backs!
This is fraud and the guilty party should be punishable.
