We were knew from another state and did not know anyone. We called got junk and they came over to give us a free estimate. After using there service twice and being charged the first time $300.00 and the second time $460.00 we found out this service was a free service in WPB, Florida. These people should have been honest and said we can do this for you but there is a free service that can pick up bulk items in your area.

I hope everyone first checks this out before calling people that do not share knowledge with others. Call your city and county to find out first, the internet has so much knowledge out there. A refund would be appreciated from this company for taking peoples hard earned money. These people could have called and left our things at another location to get picked up from this free service and enjoyed our money. There is just not enough caring people to go around these days.

I'm sorry but you yourself should have done the investigating beforehand and not assume these people should have reffed you to the "free service" you insist exists.

How do you expect a company to make money and for the employees to make a living? What these guys do is Labor. I highly doubt the exact service you claim is "free" from xyz company is the same labor. Your claim doesn't deserve to be on ripoffreport.com. You didn't experience a ripoff.

Happy day, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is a full service junk removal company. We are in the business of removing junk from offices, homes and construction sites. Customers choose to use our service for a variety of reasons, including convenience, speed of service or simply for the muscle. When a customer calls for our service, they are presented with a range of prices and the customer chooses a two-hour window during which our team can arrive. Once on site, our team provides a price for the work and once agreed upon, we perform the work and clean up, the customer pays us and we're done. The customer reports that she was so happy with our service that she had us visit not once, but twice. Clearly, our high level of professional service was delivered. I would firstly like to thank the customer for her patronage of our business. Secondly, I will address the customer's complaints. As I've outlined above, there are many reasons why a homeowner or business will use a professional junk removal service. The decision to do so represents a choice based on a need. I hear what the customer is saying in this instance; however, no smart business would divulge a customer's alternatives if they wish to remain competitive in the market. Having said that, the customer has been given false information. No municipality in our area has waste removal employees that provide the same service we do: coming into an office, home or back yard and removing junk and providing a full clean-up. Finally, I must say, in all due respect, that I take strong exception to the allegation that we may engage in leaving peoples' items to be picked up by others. This is illegal dumping. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is a professional service, and the largest of its kind in North America. We have grown our business through honest, hard work. I would be happy to cite numerous stories in the press about our good deeds cleaning up public and private lands throughout the country from the ravages of illegal dumping for free. The environment is vitally important to us and we have always strived to be recognized as strong community ambassadors. I am truly sorry that the customer feels the way she does and I hope my response has brought some resolution to her concerns.
