Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was contacted back in April of 2006 by a representative from Surrey Vacation Resorts to purchase 3 trips to Branson Mo. for a total of $299.95. They explained they were non expiring, and could only be taken 1 at a time. I purchased, but told them we would not be able to schedule yet, as we were not ready to come down. They called back early summer of 2009, and said the company had been taken over by another, but my package would still be the same yet. I was not able to book anything yet, as I was waiting for my husband to be able to go.

In fall of 2010 they called again, and were very persistant in booking a 3 night stay, and continued to call me to get one booked, as well as informed me that the company switched hands again, only this time I would not be able to keep that original offer that I paid for, and only had 1 trip down to Branson (that was paid for in 2006). I should have taken this a the first RED FLAG, but didn't and we finally booked for early Dec. 2010. We went down, they had set us up with a presentation of their resort, saying it would take about 90 min.

5 hours later, with a presenter that made the timeshare seem so wonderful, (we had never been, or heard of what is involved with timeshares) we purchased. We were pushed through rather quickly in the financing part once we said yes, and much to our surprise were set up with a week during year in which there is no way we can even go there-it is during our harvest-(and they knew that in our visiting during the presentation, and still sold it to us) Like I said we did not know anything coming into this and didn't realize the week that was sold to us was non usable to us, until much later. Second RED FLAG!

Third RED FLAG proceeds- On Jan. 7,  2011 at 5:42 pm. I contacted Lisa Dooley, the individual that sold us the timeshare to set up a weekend for my daughter on  Jan. 28,  2011 at Nisswa, MN. She assured me it could be done, and said she would get back to me. I called her again on Jan 10, 2011 to check up on it, she said she was going to pass it on to Bill Waites, a gentlemen above her and he would take care of it. (We had dealt with him when we were there in Dec. and knew who he was)

I waited, and finally called him on Jan 17. He assured me that he was working on it, and would get it booked. I called on Jan 19. He assured me the same thing, and said he would get it booked. We had 3 phone conversations that day, still assuring me it would get booked.

More calls to him on the 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th-all still reassuring me that they would have it booked. I called him on the 27th, and he gave me an owner number and told me to call Trading Places to book the days. I got them, and they could not find me in the system, they gave me another number to Interval Gold, and said to try them. I tried them, with the same results-they could not find me in the system. I was still on the phone with them, and asked them "Just by chance, is there any openings in Nisswa for the 28th (tomorrow) for the weekend?" She looked and replied, "No nothing until March!" At that point, I realized without a doubt, Bill Waites had not even once bothered to check the resort for availablility!

When I got a hold of him Jan.27 at 8:07 pm, (only 12 hours before my daughter was supposed to be going to Nisswa) he was still reassuring me he was working on it, and would get it booked for me. I explained to him what I had found out, and that I was going to book something at a hotel for her, and also to sell our unit. He said he would pass that information on, but if I changed my mind, I could. I called him back on Jan. 28th ( I got his voicemail) to tell him we were sticking with our decision, and that they should sell our unit-we did not want anything to do with Grand Crowne. I told him they could keep our down payment, as well as the maintenance fee, that we wanted the remainder back. He has not called or returned my call since that day-that was over 3 weeks ago.

This should not be allowed to happen to anyone, what a scam!
