I worked with Grand Crowne for some time and while I was there I was told to to convince the members that they DID want to keep GRAND CROWNE membership and that there was no way to get out of the contract, but there was actually a way. You could have asked to be relinquished and then and there would be no questions you would have been let go. But if we told the members about this we would have got wrote up or fired. You are taken to a simple presentation (some of you a seminar, some of you a condo tour). Either way it was a very high pressure environment and in the process they do highlight the great areas of the membership or ownership with Grand Crowne and quickly touch on but do not fully explain the lower points. Well most of you will be happy with this information but the Travel agency portion of Grand Crowne has shut down today

(5/25/07). I was informed further from a source that the Branson Offices (the condo portion) will be shutting down next week, and C.J. Perme will be filling bankruptcy. We did not get paid very well everyone was treated almost as bad as the members themselves, those of you that were happy with the program consider your self lucky. C.J. simply drove around in a brand new Truck, and his girlfriend in a new Mercedes while you were stuck with this. The A.G. for Missouri is looking into this further, and for those of you that were hurt in the past Im sorry. You might want to get in contact with lawyers before any kind of bankruptcy is reported.

While many people in this business like to bash the companies that just let them go, let me start by saying GET OVER IT! I was an employee for Grand Crowne for several years, and i have done everything from telemarketing to front line sales. I know this is a very old post, but let me tell grand crown owners that they are not going anywhere. CJ Perme has planted his roots here in branson, and is expanding.. Although I am not an employee here anymore, I have no complaints about the companies morality. The management on the other hand is a different subject. When you decide that vacation ownership is for you, make sure that your product is something that will suit your needs. As for this guy I bet he has been back at least 3 times to reapply for his job...

I have asked " The Rip-Off Report" to retract the above comment but they have refused. I am the author of the above comment and regret submitting it. I was very angry over a personal matter and posted the comment without regard to the truth. My comments about Mr. Perme and the business practices of his company were not the truth. Additionaly, I have absolutely no knowledge of any bankruptcy, which was apparently just a rumor due to the fact Mr. Perme elected to close the Reservation Center. I was never told to lie or be dishonest when dealing with the members and I understand that their memberships are still being honored and serviced, just no longer in Springfield. I also have no knowledge of any involvement by the Missouri Attorney General. I apologize to Mr. Perme and to any reader I have mislead with my comments.

To Whom It May Concern: My name is Sharon and I live in Branson, Missouri. I have worked for Grand Crowne Resorts for almost 8 years now and I would like to set the record straight. I did not write the entry recorded on June 25, 2007, in which my name (SParis) is signed. The actual author of this commentary is Kathryn who did work for Grand Crowne from the Fall of 2006 to the Spring of 2007. For whatever reasons she had to say the things she did, she was not mature enough to sign her actual name to these untruths. As I stated, I have worked for this company for many years and been very happy with my treatment both as an employee and a person. My job performance has always been valued and I strive to maintain the high standard of ethics established by my employers. As with any company of Grand Crowne's magnitude, it is impossible to make everyone happy all the time, no matter how tireless our efforts. Having said that, I apologize to anyone that feels we have not met their expectations and ask that you give us the opportunity to rectify your dissatisfaction. Grand Crowne is a thriving, family oriented business in Branson, Missouri and it is my hope to continue my employment with them for many years to come. Sincerely, Sharon

I was a travel agent in the Springfield, Mo office. We were told to get the clients to use the services and then they were stuck. The clients could find the same rates on line that were were able to find. The day that were were closed Sherry Carpenter, Tasha Workman, and Wolfgang came in with Paper shredders and started shredding documents. They walked around like it was a big party, watching us pack our personal belongins to mak sure we did not take any of the companys files. When asked what was going to happen to our clients that were had built a repore with we were told that it was none on our concern. Yes it was because we were trying to make the best of a really bad situation for these people. They did outsource our jobs and when the clients call they are told that the Agent that they ask for are no longer with the company. This company is one of many RIPOFFS in Branson, Mo and now they are also building in Pidgeon Forge, TN so the tourist in that area need to really watch out. As for C.J. Perme and His daughter Cindy Perme-Hahn They are in the Carribean now and that is great place to hide money so that they can file bankruptsy. PlLEASE if you feel you have been ripped off please call the ATTORNEY GENERAL in Missouri and don't give up.
