On 2/27/2009 I was contacted by Grand Mutual Solutions Lending Group after filling out an application on line, by Ray Stevens. He promised a $10,000 loan with a couple of options 1 with a co-signer 2 with collateral such as a car title or home and option 3 was to purchase a special insurance that was needed because of credit. He said the insurance would protect me if I was unanble to make payments. Ray Stevens said that if I would send $750 that he would assure that $10,000 would be direct deposited in my account. I asked if could be taken off the check and he said they couldn't because it didn't involve third parties. I told him I couldn't come up with that much and that I only had $400 he said to send that and we would still be able to get the $10,000 loan and that we would have to make arrangments to pay the rest with the insurance company. When we money grammed the money to a Julie Jones in Canada and after he received it I called him and he said he spoke with his supervisor and they had to have the full amount because of my credit I was considered high risk. When I said I couldn't and wanted a refund he then offered and guarented a $5,000 loan if I would be able to send $150 more again to the same person in Canada. I was able to do this by borrowing money. He said to call him when I sent it which I did and he said that it went through ok and to call him back the next day at 12. After trying to call I finally got a hold of him 2 hours later then he said to call. He then said there was a problem with the direct deposit on their end and that the check would be expressed mailed. I called back on Monday and he said that he thought it was sent expressed but it wasn't and that I should receive it by Wednesday or Thursday and to call if I didn't get it. This is 3/8/09 and I have yet to hear anything else from Ray Stevens after several attemps of contacting him. I contacted Money Gram and the lady that was very nice informed me that she thought I was scammed because no Canada Company would insure anything from the US.

I like many others are struggling and thought this would be good at the time even though I was thinking this was to good to be true but went with it because I needed to pay bills and thought this would help because I just got laid off.

I feel that something has to be done and that President Obama should step in and do something. tImes are hard enough and I was just trying to get a little ahead for my family. And now further behind because of this. ( I will update if there is anything new)
