In October 2006, I signed up for this "service" because I needed to use Net Sleuth and in order to get a month of Net Sleuth FREE, you were required (or so I thought) to purchase a service from one of their "sponsors." This sounded interesting and I thought since it was "only $3.97" I would give it a try. WRONG CHOICE!! It was not until my November billing on my credit card that I caught this company had not only charged the initial $3.97, but on 11/10/06 had also charged $29.95 and then on 11/27/06 another $5.95!! I have no idea what these charges were for and, in fact, when I called I was not able to ascertain what the charges were for. I told them I wanted to be credited back these amounts and the man more or less laughed in my face! I told him UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES were they to bill any more charges to my credit card and if I was signed up for some sort of service that it should be canceled immediately. I do not remember signing up for any service with this company. I was under the impression that when I signed up for the so-called free CD (which cost me $3.97, supposedly shipping and handling) that was ALL I was signing up for. I do not recall seeing anything anywhere about signing up for any program, service, or whatever else this company might have offered. When I first called this company, the man I spoke with could not even find my account! I had to tell him my name at least three times, if not four, and then SPELL my first and last name for him. Finally, after telling him that I wanted to speak to his supervisor, he put me on hold, only to come back and tell me he had "found something" that looked like it could be my account! I have written my credit card company to advise them that I dispute the amounts that Grant Search Assisant has placed on my credit card. Hopefully, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I can accomplish something, but I am not holding my breath. I only wish I had known this company was a RIP OFF before I so ignorantly purchased their CD. I will NEVER do anything like this again. I have learned from this costly mistake! I am only thankful that I caught it before it escalated any further! Please be careful of this company. They have nothing to offer. The CD really has nothing on it that is of any use that you couldn't find for yourself while surfing the 'net.

Hopefully, they will never charge my credit card again. I will never, ever sign up for anything like this again. It's like the old saying, "If it seems too good to be true, it usually is!" I am writing this post to let everyone know that these folks held up their end of the bargain and credited my charge card.

THIS IS STRICTLY AN UPDATE. THIS MATTER HAS NOT YET BEEN RESOLVED. First, I did not speak with this Ryan person. I received a phone call on Friday afternoon concerning my post of GSA on ripoffreport.com. I spoke with Laura Clements, who told me she was a Quality Assurance Manager with Raven Media. She told me that she agreed with me, that she listened to the tape recording of the conversation I had earlier with their representative, and I should not have had so many problems with him. She said she was going to make sure that I was immediately refunded the amounts charged to my credit card. I told her as soon as I saw them credited to my account, I would write and clarify that this matter was resolved. HOWEVER as of this writing, the funds have not been credited to my credit card, so this matter has not yet been resolved. From the way she talked, I would have thought she was taking care of it then. How many days do you think is fair? Ten? I'll report back in ten days.

First off I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to Christy for the negative customer service experience she had in calling the customer service department to discuss her purchase of the Grant Search Assistant CD. I do not condone this kind of behavior in our representatives at all. I demand that our company provides professionalism and respect to our clients and when we fail in this or any other area I would like the opportunity to resolve it. I have located Christy's account and she's been notified that the charges she is disputing have been fully refunded as of today and she'll be receiving them shortly. If you are another customer that is reading this and you feel that we have failed you in some way please call me directly at 435-773-1795 or email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to address your concerns ASAP. Sincerely, Ryan R.
