Raven MediaGrant Writter Pro - Raven Media ripoff ! dishonest, Unauthorized charge to my credit card Fraud! Las Vegas Nevada
I ordered a "free" Grant Writer Pro cd. Was only to pay shipping and handling charge of $5.95. Never received cd.
Company charged an unauthorized charge of $29.95 to my card a few days later. I didn't notice it at first.
I received a phone call from Raven Media telling me that I had qualified for $25,000 grant. They would send me the info for shipping and handling only.
Rep wanted my credit card number. I explained I would not give out my number over the phone and asked if there was any other way I could pay for it. Rep was nervous and assured me he would send me a copy of our recorded phone call for my protection. I refused again - this went on for about five minutes-
I then did a google search on the company and found several complaints that sounded exactly like mine. I called Ravens customer service. The first two reps hung up on me when I advised them I worked in the fraud dept at American Express.
I called back a third time and told the rep he better not hang up on me. I explained to him that it was illegal to make unauthorized charges on someones credit card. I reported him to American Express - we can't work on our own claims - He offered a full refund of both charges instantly.
Watch out for these guys. They are classic fraudsters. If the rep hadn't called me and I hadn't researched the company, I may not have caught the charge. I'm in the process of opening a small business and have several charges for info a purchased.
